Could you color code the quest so i know which is the main storyline in each zone and what is a side quest blizzard? I feel like that would just be a real quality of life feature.
For most leveling conent there arenât that many âside questsâ. If you look at the Zone Story Progress in the quest window it will cover the majority of quest hubs.
Thatâs one of the things I miss from WildStar (RIP WIldStar). They actually labeled their different kinds of quests, like world story, zone, tasks, etc.
That is a good idea, but I think they donât want to do that; This would cause you to only do those quests. You not âknowingâ, is on purpose.
It is kind of âhidden knowledgeâ, such as when I bothered to get WoD pathfinding, during Legion. The particular issue I had was having to get the quest achivement in those zones, for Draenor Pathfinder. As you can imagine, I wished to streamline this as much as possible.
I discovered there was no way to do what you are asking for, other than âword of mouth.â So I did the research, finding the one post by a helpful person in the Wowhead threads which said something like:
âActually, I exhaustively experimented with this and you only have to do THESE 40 quests, instead of THESE 90 quests, to get the thing completed.â
As you can imagine, that guy was my hero.
So Blizzard seems to not want you to know on purpose. it is left up to players, in Wowhead threads or something, to post what is actually required for some main story achievement or pathfinder.
Ah, as at least one previous mentions an Add On could accomplish the same thing (telling you what quests are for what.) But again, someone had to do the research, as far as I know.
That would also be handy. I would settle for yellow exclamation marks for side quests, red for main quests, blue for repeatable quests, etc. If they labled them which give reputation. That would be great.
I think this is a nice touch that would help clear up some confusion rather than having to hunt around in achievements or something.
I agreed with you. I think youâre correct they donât want you to do that. Although that only means people will go to outside sources to play the game how they want. They arenât forcing you to do anything. Theyâre actually giving you an excuse to spend more time not playing their game because they want to try and sculpt their player base.
