As someone whose in College still I just want to say that WoW is a very rare game to be played by people in my age group and is virtually non existent to people younger.
It’s partly WoW’s fault for having such bad expansions, but also because the world of gaming has moved past MMOs in general years ago.
One of the ways though that Blizzard can bring back in a younger audience is by having college students provide their college ID badge to get a free WoW sub.
This will get more students to want to try out the game, it will get young adults who are entering their professional life to become more invested into the world and I think it will introduce that younger demographic back into the game.

I don’t think College Students have all the time to be playing WOW. If anything, give highschool students a free WOW subscription or a discount.

And also id enroll in online classes and just get a forever discount for being a student if that was a thing
i mean subscription models are pretty bad and out of date, if you ever look at Blizzards revenue, majority of it comes from wow tokens and the cash shop, they don’t even receive 10% of their revenue from wow subs.
Buy to play+cash shop prob one of the better business models.
Personally I think essential workers should get free wow. seeing how essential they are to the fabric of society. College students are already getting loans from the government, no need to add more.
I’d argue that college students should be banned from playing online games until their education is over lol

Not sure about the free WoW, but i think Covid has taught us all a valuable lesson in regards to those of us that are absolutely essential to keep the world running, and those of us that can take a couple of years off and it not really matter much. I think all of the essential workers regardless of whether or not they are so called “unskilled” deserve a massive bump in pay, benefits and respect.

This!! I’m bloody 38 and doing Uni (nfi what compelled me to go back), and access to WoW has shown me i have zero impulse control and time management skills.
Ouch, you should really try and find a way to force some controls onto yourself in some way, perhaps the parental controls that limit playtime?
