Collectors edition pets

I assume the NPC in game is there to redeem the Murky pet from the 2005 Blizzcon since it was in classic wow.
So if you have an unused murky pet code you can redeem it on classic wow.

If you have ever played/installed the PTR. Just like that. Don’t need to live game to install the PTR and it’s a drop down option to select which game client to launch.

I’d assume it wouldn’t work. As that code is for live WoW.

They already said “NO”…

Owner of a Vanilla CE account. I want Classic to be a completely separate experience. Trust me, it’s going to be painful not being able to sit AFK in Stormwind on my Zulian Tiger with my CE pets out, but I’d rather have the fresh experience of starting out with nothing again.

That code (murky pet) is for wow. Classic is meant to copy wow as it was and that would therefor include all the NPCs and things you could do in game. I assume the same list of codes would be checked by this NPC since these pets were not account wide and only on one character who redeems it.
This is completely different than the vanilla collector edition pets.

I think there was a dev/cm statement somewhere on the old forums stating the CE pets and TCG stuff won’t be in classic as you already have them in Retail.

well if someone wanted to use an used code on Classic for Murky, more power to them, me, i would sell that!, and I am a HUGE pet collector and that pet is the white whale of pets.

That blue post linked up above doesn’t give me reason to agree.

CE pets are in retail. They will not be in classic. Don’t put it past blizzard to put them in a classic cash shop to get us to buy them AGAIN though. :sunglasses:
