There has to be some kind of weird underlying coding for this.
I’ve been slowly getting every single mount on this list.
Each mount that’s dropped has taken at most maybe like 15 attempts.
But for guldan and the nine, my attempts are starting to add up immensely without a single drop
Guldan has two drops and the nine has 4 difficulties it drops in.
You gonna tell me “rng” on a 5% drop chance ?
There has to be more to this than just a 5% bump.
Maybe the mounts rotate differently for every player?
Admit it blizzard

Then have the dataminers sleuth it out in wow head or something.
I call shenanigans

Raven Lord took about 60 attempts for me. Same for Rivendare’s Charger. The drake from Vortex Pinnacle took about 100 attempts, including too many instances entered warnings. 30 or so for Ashes of Alar. I received Invincible and GMOD on the first try. Mimiron’s Head after 3 attempts. All pretty random though.

100 attempts for a 5% drop chance??
Something is fishy here
How do you figure? The rate isn’t cumulative and every run has a 95% chance of failure.

God i hate stats
This is why I don’t gamble

5% doesn’t mean after 20 tries you get it lol. It’s a new chance each time. most people might get it in that number of times but there will always be outliers.
You new to this or what

No I’m not.
I’m just frustrated that a boss that drops two mounts won’t drop it after so many attempts.
Yet I get both experiment 12 and blazing drake on my first run of DS
I got Glacial Tidestorm last night, after only 4 attempts.
But still do not have either Firelands mounts. And ive been doing it for years.
RNG is RNG.

no one knows for sure and cant confirm it so the argument is completely moot, however i have suspected for many many expansions now that its more of an algorithm than strait rng.
i still pray to rngsus tho like a good disciple

Being bad at math doesn’t matter here.
You’re certainly unlucky if your numbers are accurate, but it is still a dice roll per occurrence and the odds are still very low per individual dice roll.
There is no way that the company known for being a meme of indie game company at this point developed this convoluted logic of having differing drop rates purely around per character that likely has to account for looking at past runs and trying to dynamically determine where to properly “screw you” in the grand scheme for the thousands upon thousands of characters all running likely their own personal instance instead of a simple flat bump aura.

you guys all act like you know anything lol
Then why did wowhead list that article on collector’s Bounty discrepancies with certain mounts?
Funny enough it’s the mounts I’m struggling with
Just remember, it’s only paranoia if they can prove it in court!

Okay let me ask this??
For the stat pros out there.
What threshold of attempts would need to be made to make you raise an eyebrow and not just chalk it to RNG?
Cuz like imagine someone makes 500 attempts with no drops.
none because none of it is verifiable anyway lol

For me was Mimron Head.
Nyalotha i cant do it anymore, so hard bugged questline to unlocke it
You’d think data miners would be able to find it if there was
