[Collection] [Legacy]Legacy content loot tables

As it currently stands, all the old dungeons and raids still have trinkets, rings, necks, gems, relics, and conduits.

It’s quite annoying doing transmog runs and having those drop off the boss, because let’s face it, we’re already getting skewed by the fact that legacy content still has a weekly or daily lockout. After hearing feedback about this idea that some trinkets might be worth something for RP-ers, there has to be a solution to that, perhaps adding those to a vendor at the start of the raid/dungeon or wherever. Keeping the aforementioned items in the loot table only created an extra artificial roadblock to transmog collecting which no one finds fun as you’re already battling RNG.

Alternatively it can be a toggle in the loot setting when “legacy loot mode” is active as a dropdown from your character portrait, similar to setting a loot specialization or need before greed, raid difficulty etc.

I have to 100% agree that this is something that needs to be addressed. There are already systems in the game to support this, as an example “Bonus Loot” used on certain bosses (Conclave of the Chosen in Battle of Dazar’alor) drops extra items in addition to the normal drops. This would be a perfect solution in my opinion, have the items mentioned in OPs post be marked as “Bonus Loot”.

As someone who has battled RNG for years collecting all the sets, I think it comes down in part to what the end goals are for transmog collecting. For the playerbase, for the company.

Are systems going to be put into place (planned currently), in future patches - expansions that will fundamentally change collection of appearances from all raids?

-Account wide unlocks of any transmog thats looted regardless of specialization

-Accessibilty to BoEs - BoPs systems altering to allow for more player markets with post run items in seperate raid IDs

-Increased Raid / Dungeon lockouts

  • Targetted Bad Luck protections. Mounts, pets, cosmetics.

Is the conversation going to be about the obnoxious items that fill our loot tables, wasting our weekly runs / attempts. Which really aren’t all that terrible after the 20th run.
Is it about an overhaul to the system itself. The creation of npcs, teleports, skips, fast forward RPs, Quality of LIfe improvements to how now is, versus how the system will be in the future.

What should the system be. How can we enable a better means of collecting the items we desire. Not the items we think we deserve or need.

It would be good if artifact slot items didn’t drop in legacy loot. Most of the runs in that raid tier that’s all you get on some bosses.
