what do you mean you aren’t enjoying the world’s most tepid and cynical grind dressed up as some joyous celebration of WoW history??
are you implying that this wonderful event is actually just some incredibly half baked slop designed to keep addicts picking away at the maggot-ridden corpse of an antiquated game that hasn’t had a good idea in over a decade??

Pretty sure the weekly quest is the ‘something worth the time’ for completing it. That assuming you can complete it, at least. The scenario seems to like randomly kicking everyone offline and resetting itself. lol

You do you. Will do mine. Queueing for it is easy for me. I was doing my weeklies in TWW while waiting for the queue to pop out. And when it is out, I just follow what the group does. It is not that bad.
Yeah. Happened to me twice yesterday before I gave up.
Not bashing anyone that put in the time to make what we have happen, but it did leave me with a sense of “this is it?”. Was really expecting more fanfare and a more clearly celebratory venue. This looks more like random assets cobbled together in the middle of nowhere.
You’d also think that maybe you’d see photos of employees celebrating the occasion together at work, wouldn’t you…? 20 years isn’t something a lot of games can claim, and it’s a well established IP that many of us grew up with. I feel like in the past, this would have been something you’d see customers and employees alike having fun with and being social over.
I guess in short, it doesn’t feel like this event really captures any kind of excitement, it just feels like another project someone had to do. That said, I do still want the DK mog.

It appears those of us who dont have TWW can queue for it and join the group, but cannot port to the instance

It’s about on par with brewfest or darkmoon faire but has timewalking tacked on. Nothing much to really report home about.

Yeah and idk why but when queued as a group the queue never popped, even with a tank. Had to abandon my friends to do it solo just to get disconnected
This explains things. Me and the GF sat in queue for this thing last night for 35 minutes, group never formed. Guildy queued for it alone and got in.

i figure by the time i level a few more chars up via the timwealking there will be a brd tuning pass and hopefully the bugs like on this scenario will be fixed
You know blizz, when I said something like “Hey, you should bring back the Scepter of Shifting Sands Questline, but take out the rewards, so folk who never experienced it can.” I didn’t mean to throw chromie in, and emphasize the ending and GONG!

Not to mention not a single clue what to do when those circles with teh npcs start spawning. Only one dude in teh group knew what to do. Even then, I was having trouble identifying who was the warrior and who wasn’t. The whole thing is poorly executed.
No no guys you don’t get it you’re all clearly wrong. I was assured several times on these very forums that this patch is HUGE! There’s a ridiculous amount of new great content in this patch, and that’s why it took so long to implement and make sure everything works correctly with the longer maintenance. Surely you aren’t telling me the forums were wrong?!?! I refuse to hear it.
WHY is this even a scenario? Why not just port people to AQ and have them follow chromie around?
I have a friend who did not buy tww, but they resubbed to do the anniversary event stuff. They have completed all the achievements for the mount-- EXCEPT THIS ONE.
For god knows what reason, this scenario is locked to TWW. No reason for it ether as everything else, BRD included, scale all the way down to level 20. And the worst part, this nonsense isn’t even hard. It’s a snooze-fest.

I got 587 boots …me thinks it goes by your item level going in …the boots were an upgrade for me…I don’t raid or do dungeons …
Only upgrade I got was from the rewards for the weeklies there. My belt prior to that upgrade was from BT TW last month.
I have gotten a few upgrades for my main and few of my alts…I don’t do TW dungeons …or any dungeons or raids really, outside of ones in this event…way too may psycho players out there and no my guild doesn’t have enough to make our own group besides most of my guild mates work and by the time they get home I am about ready to power down anymore now dealing with my pain and all…can’t do those 16 hr play days anymore…
