So I advertised that I had a particular drop in barrens chat, and someone whispered that they would buy it. I gave him a price that was way above current price and he didn’t balk at all. Asked me to COD it to him. It’s been like a week and I still haven’t gotten the gold or the item back. I know mail is automatically returned after 30 days, but should I be worried that he somehow stole the item? Is that even possible? And no, I don’t want to know how he did it if he did. But wondering if that is what he did?

This is a common tactic to prevent someone from undercutting you on the AH. Ask them to COD you, leave it in your mailbox and suddenly there’s one less of that item on the market and it costs you nothing.
Super scummy though.
I think COD is 3 days. Though- OP, did you definitely COD it, or did you accidentally send him gold. That’s a common mistake.
It’s 30 days. Ya got rickrolled or maybe if it’s been a week he just hasn’t played for a bit thinking he still has time? Did you try hitting him up on the other place?
