CO-OP PS4 or PC Game; doesn't have to be new

Any suggestion here. I am not really into Blizzard much and wanted to find something fun to immerse myself in with my wife, I suppose both on one PS/4.

I could also get a cheap new laptop for her so perhaps something not too graphics. Something we can play and figure out together that’s not too high stress.

Thanks!

I admit, I don’t know too many mainstream games with co-op that didn’t involve heavy competition or pvp, while sports games aren’t my thing at all. Though, here’s a few off the top of my head you two can chill in, or at the very least, minimal competition:

Portal 2
Sea of Thieves
Genshin Impact
Snowrunner
Monster Hunter World
Minecraft
Little Big Planet 3

Sea of thieves looks decent for me and her could one of us play ps4 and the other pc ? (or any of those games for that matter)

I guess I should research

Thanks for your response!

You’re welcome!

Out of those I mentioned, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Genshin Impact (on the same server/region) are the only ones that can cross-play between PC and PS4 (Genshin can do cross-play with mobile too).

Portal 2 is a local split-screen on the same platform.

Sea of Thieves is only on Xbox and PC, so you’ll have to co-op on PC via the internet.

Snowrunner and Monster Hunter are internet co-op only on the same platform.

Little Big Planet 3 is local co-op on the same screen on the PS4.

Dying Light
Saints Row 2
Ark Survival Evolved
Left 4 Dead 2
Far Cry 5
Dead Rising 3 & 2 (Plus off the Record)
TheHunter:Call of the wild
Team Fortress 2

And since if you’re going on the PC, i should also keep an eye out for games that have mods to have local Co-Op, like spyro for instance if you have 2 spare controllers. As well emulation if you have any old games with local co-op lying about.
