Is anyone else having issues with the ‘Cluck!’ quest as a Horde character, or in general?
I’m able to get the ‘Chicken looks up at you quizzically. Maybe you should inspect it?’ message. However the chicken never turns green/clickable. I have tried this on multiple different chickens in Westfall and have received the same results. Is this a currently known bug or am I doing something wrong here…?

I don’t doubt it’s Alliance only at this point, however, are any other Horde able to confirm issues attempting it? Or a blue post I guess.
Pfft I couldn’t get it to work as Alliance. The stupid chickens never react to me.
Its an alliance quest if i remember correctly.
You have to feed it chicken feed sold by the alliance only vendor right next to the chickens.
If you get an alliance player to do that, it’ll spawn an egg that you can cluck which gives you the pet.

You use to be able to cluck at the chickens hanging around Brill also but I’ve not seen a vendor offering the chicken feed and when I did try to /cluck to it I got a system error of unknown command in chat.
I’m fairly certain the command is /chicken.
If an alliance player posts the feed on the neutral auction house, you can buy it and do the quest.
I have the Special Chicken Feed, but the chicken does not seem to finish the prompt sequence to give out the quest. It does seem to initiate it with the ‘Chicken looks up at you quizzically. Maybe you should inspect it?’ message, but that is all the further it gets.
No. You buy the chicken feed. It only has to be in your bag. Then, you make a /chicken macro and spam the hell out of it. It only works when it is spammed.
Yes, I am aware of that. As I stated in the original post. I can /chicken to the point where I get the prompt " ‘Chicken looks up at you quizzically. Maybe you should inspect it?", but the chicken never turns green/clickable for me to get the quest from it.
Just tried to do this, on Alliance, with the feed on me, first @ Saldean’s farm and then again further into Westfall. No matter how many times I /chicken at one, it never gives me the prompt for the quest. I tried spamming the macro and doing it more slowly to let the emote play out and it didn’t make a difference.

You have to have it to complete the quest yes. I got it to work with a /chicken emote before i bought the feed.
As an Alliance or as a Horde? And by ‘got it to work’, what specifically does that mean? You got the prompt for the chicken to give you the quest? Like it’s in your quest journal?
as alliance. My response was to someone claiming you needed the feed in your bag to get it to work which is not the case.
I tried to pick up the quest the other day too. It didn’t work for me, but I thought maybe it was because I didn’t do it on a chicken in Westfall.
Kind of sad. This is the best troll quest to share when people ask to share quests in dungeons. Like seriously, you want quests, go pick them up yourself.
I am having the same issue. I have the feed from the neutral AH, I spammed /chicken, it looked at me quizzically but never turned green.
I was pretty sure Horde could do this in Vanilla. I’d like to hear confirmation that it is bugged or that it was Alli only in 1.12.
