Cloudsong Glaive

I want to start of saying in no way do I want to make anyone mad or upset this is just a simple question and I would like peoples opinion’s on this.

But why remove some cosmetics and not others? By no means do I want them to make more cosmetics that are limited time, I disagree with removing weapon transmog’s in the first place. That is just my opinion I just think it is crazy I can still obtain Shadowmourne/ and or Thunderfury and I would argue they where harder and took more time and effort to obtain than WOD challenger gold.

All though I think they should make these skins obtainable, again I understand why they also would not make them unlockable anymore but maybe give the original people who unlocked it a new mount or something like it, or give the new players a chance to unlock a recolor by doing a shadowlands gold achiv or something in the realm of that, Again just my opinion tell me what you think.

=) <3 Have an amazing Day/Night !

One was time limited and the others weren’t. Also, FOMO, a powerful tool for any developer when they want to encourage people to play their game.

I understand it was limited time and I get the making people play there game by creating urgency but I would argue it’s not fair to new players who never had the chance to obtain it, there are way more players playing SL than WOD most of the players who got WOD:GOLD do not even play anymore and most people quit half way through WOD and felt like they had no reason to play.

Even if they just add a recolor, that would be awesome! But again just my opinion, I know it probably will never happen but even if the recolor it and you have to clear every dungeon on a like +20 just to give more people a chance to unlock stuff like that, I mean Cloudsong glaive is the best looking polearm BY FAR!

Neato but irrelevant. You asked a question, the question was answered. If you wanted the glaive, you should have been there.

No it was not but ok, but you also like to skip most of what I say. I am saying most people where not there for most of WOD or did not even know the game existed. Also I was there got bored half way through and I did not know the glaive or any challenge gold weapons where a thing until legion and at that point it was to late. I would have done it if I knew, also I do not think making a recolor of the glaive/ rest of the weapons would be a bad thing and locking it behind doing every dungeon +20. I feel like +20 every dungeon would be way more challenging

well think of it like as battle passes in Fortnite/CoD/Apex, you miss out on the duration of when the event is up you don’t get the rewards and only those who participated get them

it helps them create attraction to the game so that more people that are interested purchase the game or season passes

Yeah, it was lol. You asked why certain mogs were removed and others weren’t and I answered. Your opinion on why it shouldn’t have been removed was irrelevant.

I get that it would be LIKE battle passes, but my whole point is there should not be stuff like that (Limited Time Item’s) in MMO’S it creates animosity between players and also Sabbia you keep answering my question with a opinion I asked for your opinion yes but your opinion is not a answer, also to clear up the animosity part of things, do I think they should bring back the glaive/ weapons yes BUT I understand that is a LOOOONNG shot, but a recolor that you have to unlock doing +20’s which is not easy for everyone I think would be 100% fair!

Quick side not Sabbia no need to be so passive aggressive, Like I said I did not want to make anyone mad just wanted a conversation. =)

Lol wut?

source?

i really don’t understand how or why people have been trained to think this way.

it’s not “unfair” if someone wasn’t there.

it may be unfortunate, but it’s not unfair.

That is fair to say =)

No. Its special because not everyone has it. Getting a time limited item as a certain class doing certain challenging content is not at all comparable to doing similar content on a class that either got mega nerfed or mega buffed since.

I wouldn’t mind similar models, especially the transformer one hander sword that sheets on the back, but they would need to only be attainable by the same % of people who got them in WoD and be very different in colour/easy to recognize as not being WoD challenge because they arent.

Imo FOMO is very important in mmos and really gives the player a feeling of having a “main” class.

I am fine with that too, similar models would be nice does not have to be 100% the same but something close to it, Also you can have FOMO without limited timed items I feel like limited timed items makes it feel less like a MMO imo but that is just me =)

how does it create animosity? so you mean to say someone who earned scarab lord and got the black qiraji mount putting up the work of forming a guild and raid fully dedicating their time to achieve this goal creates aversion? like how did you come up with that idea?

Do you know that there are a lot of games out there that do exactly the same thing? And some of them do it even more obviously in a way to make money?

ESO, for example. Elder Scrolls Online operates on either a free (extremely limited) version or via subscription. And it constantly has mounts and pets and other items that are available for strictly limited times. And if you don’t have spare Crowns, you have to buy them with real money. So if they introduce something that has a limited life that you really like, you either buy it or miss out. Forever.

At least WoW doesn’t charge for every single limited-availability item. Sure, it does for a few but it mostly gives you things along with it (like a 6 months sub).

I agree that things like the legendary cloak should not have been removed from the game but that’s mostly because not having it blocks access to a boss fight. Everything else was advertised for an extended time. If people weren’t around, they missed out.

I missed out on a special deal for a new stick vacuum cleaner that I had to buy this week as my old one died. It went on sale months ago but I didn’t need it then. Sometimes such things just happen.

I don’t see any way around time limited special items. Challenge modes are intended for the current season and meta and tailored to that specific patch. You can’t have a challenge mode last through multiple major tuning patches and player power system changes

Cause alot people who played WOD did not even know WOD challenger was a thig most people quit half way through and some people got upset sure you do not have to say animosity you can say they are upset they missed out, and scarab lord is a mount Me personally I think mount’s are a whole different thing

i find it weird that people want to put so much emphasis on people having things which they don’t, when there’s a TON of stuff available to them right now.
Stuff which could be removed at any point.

…but instead of going out and getting the stuff which is available to them now, they want to focus on stuff which other people have.

…and then it’ll be the same thing all over again when other stuff gets removed.

go take a look at any “mage tower” thread.
people are resorting to psychological tactics to try and make people feel bad for having a thing which other people don’t have.

And yes I have played ESO and most of the “limited time mount’s and pets” come back each season they are locked to real seasons spring, summer etc.

you keep making references to “most people”, when it seems you should just be using the word “I”.

it’s also one of the rarest titles in the game.

challenge mode had mounts too…
