You can extend soothing mist’s channel by casting it a second time right away which helps get more 3 stack casts off.
But something to remember is recasting soothing mist will also reset your clouded focus stacks so you’ll want to double pump instantly
IE
Soom → soom → now do normal people stuff
This will only net you 30% more soom time or
at 0% haste 2.4 seconds
at 5% haste 2.29 seconds
at 10% haste 2.18 seconds
at 15% haste 2.08 seconds
at 20% haste 2 seconds
at 25% haste 1.92 seconds
at 30% haste 1.85 seconds

im not sure what you mean exactly. press soothing, then immediately soothing again gives you a long soothing mist?
The way hots work in world of warcraft is if you recast it on someone who already has the hot it will pandemic
This means it will extend the current hot up to 1.3 times max duration
Example
I cast a 10 second hot on someone
6 seconds pass i recast it on that target
the game notices hey i already have this hot so it says `let me take the current time and do this
Min(10*1.3, (current duration + 10)
This just picks the lowest of the two numbers
Soothing mist acts like a hot where if you recast while you’re already channeling it the duration will increase
