I’m told cloth only drops for toons with tailoring profession?
If true, do tailors get these drops in addition to the drops they would otherwise get or does the cloth drop replace a different loot drop or make other drops less likely or impact other drops in any way?
I’m not a tailor but I’m still getting cloth drop, is it a lot? No it isn’t so I assume tailors get a buff like they did back in the day.
Umm…you shouldn’t be getting cloth drops at all w/o tailoring.
yea i played through the entire leveling campaign and not once did cloth drop on a non tailor, so getting cloth on a non tailor is very much not blizzards intent
Don’t know what to tell you but I’m looking in my bag now and I have a stack of 11 weavercloth.
Edit: lol even the tooltip tells me I shouldn’t have it! Must be a bug I guess, lucky me.

you can get a little cloth from mining the webbed nodes
Yeah, with a stack that low, I’m guessing you got that out of chests or treasures. You can get any crafting reagents that way.
But, you shouldn’t have any dropping of mob kills.
I’ve been getting the spider cloth or whatever it is. Granted I’ve only gotten maybe 20 in my entirety of being in tww… but it’s still randomly dropping lol.

Woops… even the rates for that are really bad. I’ve mined probably 1k of bismuth and 1k ironclaw, and got a vanilla stack of the cloth lol.
I believe it is in addition to other loot.
At least, I haven’t noticed any reduced loot on my tailor as compared to my non tailor.
There is also a way, in the specializations, to increase the amount of cloth you get.
Specifically, the first node in “Textile Treasures”.

I was bitten by the specialization system in DF, at first I was just leveling what looked like fun. But eventually you grind to a slow crawl, if you haven’t picked the right talents to begin with, now I research before I apply points.
So do you have to level tailoring to get better cloth drops, other than taking the first node in textile treasures?

You can get it from chests and mining ore.
That one node gives a bunch huge % chance increases. You can get bolts to drop as well.
opening chests and those piles will sometimes give you profession mats.
do you know whats the reason cloth only drops for tailors now? Is it because of bot farmers? I mean, could that maybe be a reason?
