Anyone notice the drop rate is terrible on wool cloth? Then when it does drop you only get 1 wool cloth at a time? I’ve been farming gnolls for 30 minutes to get 8 wool cloth.
I recently looked up wool cloth specifically to find some farming locations for it while leveling first aid on a new character. That was useful for me.
Wowhead - Wool Cloth - Showing Redridge/Wetlands Shadowhide/Mosshide Gnoll/Mongrel as among the worst drop rates for that resource.
Drop percentage rates say you might have better luck in Loch Modan with the Troggs/Ogres, the Syndicate Rogues/Mages in Hillsbrad Foothills, or the Worgen/Skeletons in Duskwood.
I tend to get a fair bit from the ogres in Duskwood. I just stocked up on my hunter alt, picked up a few pieces of silk as well. Farmed an hour last night and had enough stacks to replenish my heavy bandages, and do one of the rep turn in quests with a few left over.
If you can get a group, I usually walk out of deadmines/stockades with 1-4 stacks of wool depending on luck. For a 45/30 minute dungeon its not bad. Forming the group is harder, but deadmines if you ask in westfall general you can fill pretty quick.
I believe stockades would net you a high yield of wool?
If the OP is doing the farming on his lv59 paladin he can solo either of those which would be what I’d recommend.
