Cloth and Mail Tanks, when?

I never even thought about the August Celestials before.

Id like to see something like this.

Elemental - Fire
Enhancement - Wind
Restoration - Water
New spec - Earth

Windwalker - Tiger
Mistweaver - Serpent
Brewmaster - Ox
New spec - Crane

Well, if blizzard actualy did the right thing and gave us a new class for shadowlands we could have got a new tank.

Necromancer would be a cloth class and could have a tank spec.

or

Tinker could be a mail class and easilly have a tank spec.

I want a ranged pally spec. They’re one of the most played classes so why not start there! I’m sure a lot of classes could find use for a fourth spec but at the same time blizzard is struggling with all the ones we have now and having read through a lot of forum posts there are some neglected specs for sure :confused: I’ll keep my fingers crossed for all the aforementioned classes haha

Gruuls lair warlock tank on first boss as well as a boss in serpentshrine. Was demo spec and metamorphosis build but was the legit way it was designed. I personally loved it especially hunters getting to misdirect to the caster for a change. They even had a high threat spell which substituted for a taunt, searing pain if I recall.

Shamàn tank spec is an obvious one. I’d also like to see a mage tank but not sure how that would work.

What, like a ranged holy attack? There is a build in ESO with the templars that you could do that focused on ranged. It had slows and most of the time I could kill things before it got to me.

ehhhh it’s the lack of mitigation.

Bear druids theoretically speaking would be insane with a “shield wall”

Mage with Stoneskin spell (borrowed from D&D).
Shaman with an absorption totem.
Warlock with a BDSM “pet”.

Cannot have a kiting tank.

The crane is the heal spec. Serpent would be the new spec. Maybe based on thrown weapons? (Sadly taken out of the game).

Honestly just use Diablo 3 as an example for necromancer tank. Have Bone Armor around you which boosts your defenses and you can tank with your Scythe. And it can be a cloth user or mail user.

Yeah, I’d see Crane as the healing spec and Jade Serpent as a ranged dps. Throwing chi blast hadokens all over the place!

MW was supposed to be based on the crane but they thought red healing would look odd so they based MW on the serpent.

Oh, it is? Sorry, i havent played Mistweaver since MoP and i just remember them having the serpent statue that healed people.

cloth is for clothes
mail is for mailboxes not tank

where would the cannon go

and the treads

making tanks out of cloth and mail is never gonna work
