Closing Blizzard Account

They most certainly do suspend people for reasons other. I have been reminded of that at least twice during appeals.

Taking the Token as 300,000 as a round number, 300 Tokens would be 90,000,000 gold.

90M is not excessive for someone who plays the AH, considering the hyperinflation since WoD. In Legion, I knew someone very normal who had 30M. She didn’t do anything excessive; she just enjoyed making gold. She would probably have 300M+ now if she had kept playing.

I’m currently in the market for a sugar momma, just thought i’d mention that.

Yea, I’ve been okey-doked by the mods before in the past. They are definitely biased.

 Great job, Blizzard! :tada:

Anyone caught with RMT should be permanently banned the first time. Go after the people purchasing these goods and services and the sellers will start to disappear.

he sells on the auction house - that might be you

After 5 appeals I’m going to trust the decision Blizzard made, not a rando on the forum.

Wasn’t on this forum, nor under this name…
Nice try though

“The F word and the SH word”
Really? the SH word? I have never ever heard of someone being banned for the “SH word”. It’s an absolute joke and defending it does more harm than good.

As an ‘MVP’ you should brush up on the CoC. Profanity is not against the rules. If it was, a profanity filter wouldn’t exist. Hate speech and discrimination. Along with harassment and threats.

as is your right - I believe him because I know some of those people are just plain sloppy in how they handle things.

really? because Amphy (world first classic hardcore raid leader) played his hardcore account for 30 hours straight to level a new character and his account was given a permanent ban on stream.

yes, this permanent ban was applied to his account while he was streaming.

the reason for the ban was “using illegal programs to automate actions” AKA botting.

so his account was banned for botting, even though he clearly wasn’t botting as he had his stream open during all thirty hours of play time.

Then Amphy had a friend contact blizzard for him and his friend’s blizzard contact looked at the ban and reversed it.

so yes, automated bans do happen. there is actual video evidence of this.

also snutz had his account banned because someone mass reported him for cheating in arenas.

snutz had beaten a team, the team was upset about that loss and mass reported snutz and chanimal for hacking during the arena.

guess what happened? snutz and chanimal received a six month ban for this.

snutz contacted someone he knew at blizzard, they reviewed it and the six month ban was removed.

yes, automated bans do happen and they happen frequently enough for it to be showcased live on stream multiple times.

‘ Obscene / Vulgar

This category includes both clear and masked language in posts, signatures, and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

  • Are an inappropriate reference to human anatomy or bodily functions
  • Are pornographic in nature

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

While these repercussions may seem harsh, we feel very strongly that this behavior has no place on the forums due to its extremely offensive and inappropriate nature.’

says the same in your link although not as detailed.

‘ Communication

When participating in communication of any kind (chat, voice communication, group finder), you are responsible for how you express yourself. You may not use language that could be offensive or vulgar to others.

Hate speech and discriminatory language is inappropriate, as is any obscene or disruptive language. Threatening or harassing another player is always unacceptable, regardless of language used. Violating any of these expectations will result in account restrictions. More serious and repeated violations will result in greater restrictions.’

A lot of people would since it’s negative towards Blizzard. He could make up anything and if it has a negative narrative people on the forum will support him.

5 months ago, asmongold had his followers mass report him live on stream and he was hit with a ban. Not a squelch, a ban.

It made a huge ruckus on Reddit when it happened and a few threads here.

I understand blizzard has Said they don’t auto ban, but it’s been proven they do with enough reports.

You’re yelling into the void on these forums with this topic.
Remember the squelch system? They said it would not be automated.
Asmongold on-stream organized a raid and did a count down, where 39 people reported him all at once.
He was immediately disconnected and when logged in was muted.
People to this day will find ways to defend Blizzard on this blatant lie.

Why are you quoting me the forum CoC?
I already know the forums don’t allow profanity, or masked profanity. The difference is the forums doesn’t have a profanity filter (enabled by default)

Ha! not even the event I was talking about either. So he’s demonstrated it twice.
The one I knew about occurred in WoD, maybe early Legion.

Remember a couple years ago in classic wow, that GM banned that priest guy because he stripped some world buffs off his favorite streamer?

Remember that one time the GM banned that one guy because he made got the server first level 70 before the GM did? Me neither, because we both made the stories up.

I am curious about this. It is rated for 13+ right? So, what words are acceptable? I can for certain say some words (Explicit cuss words, racial slurs, derogatory statements) are a no-brainer.

Like, could I tell a player they were dumb/stupid for getting us all killed, or whatever?

For the most part, I am 90% solo, so it doesn’t affect me. Just curious.

Cheers!

This is not uncommon. It happened to me, and it was something that they could have checked but refused to. I never got anything but form emails. I think they have stepped up the removal of human action being involved in permabanning accounts without prior warning or other actions. They may have developed some sort of screening that checks how a person plays, flags a certain percentage, and applies a ban based on the fact that they don’t do competitive 3 pillar content.

No one confidently telling you this doesn’t happen has any evidence to support this claim.

“Hello.

We take reports like this very seriously.

Early this morning, we opened an internal investigation into the matter. While investigating, we overturned the suspension and reached out to the suspended player.

To everyone who brought it to our attention: thank you very much!”
