Everyone knows that the Classic Anniversary server is moving towards TBC and probably later WOTLK…
Please Blizzard, bring back the Clone system so players can choose which server they want to be on…
I personally want to transfer my characters to Classic Era… I don’t want to keep jumping from one expansion after another like what happened recently…

Agree with the OP.
And bring back the old clones too! We know the data isnt gone. Just like when you told us classic was impossible cause the data was gone.

We knew this soon as they dodged the question on week 1 of what you are asking to now get.
We also asked to get the clones back; the original clones back, and they dodged and stayed quiet… Then without warning diaabled paid character transfers on Era servers.
Kinda think that sealed the deal brother; RIP my 2019 characters and Anniversary players too…

Anniversary has dual spec, no debuff limit, and black lotus can be looted from normal herbs. It’s fundamentally not vanilla, and was always a pipeline to TBC.
It would be entirely inappropriate to dump any character from anniversary onto era servers.
It’s simple: Level up on Era if you want to play Era.

So then why did you bother to start on anniversary at all?
They were defined as “progression realms to TBC” from day 1… You really can’t claim ignorance here.
We all knew anniversary was not staying vanilla. Just roll characters on Era servers if expansion-avoidance is your preference.
Anniversary chars have no right to end up on Era.

Hard to argue there was no indication of what was to come when Blizzard gave us this roadmap of what to expect. Ill just leave this here since it came out before the 20th anniversary realms went live.
They have clearly stated the outcome, they even disallowed clones and transfer service after a certain point in the last couple of years.

Yes exactly… Here’s the relevant bit… bear in mind this roadmap was out when the servers launched:
"Progression Servers
WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Edition will conclude in Winter 2025/Spring 2026. Normal PvE and PvP servers will then transition into a fresh version of Burning Crusade Classic."
It is very difficult to argue with that.
Yes, I know there are these differences, which is why I suggested the character cloning service. They would adapt to the Classic Era mode. Without changing the Classic Era.
This is NOT news; Anniversary was launced as a progression server. So don’t play surprised it happens
