As the title states, which client is needed to be installed to be on the TBC PTR this weekend?
On the bnet launcher select wow classic at the top, when select the server list (above the play button) you will see an option labeled something like TBC PTR or something of that nature. Select that server, then your play button will turn into a update/download button.
Is that just currently unavailable to Download? The only thing currently showing in results for classic is MOP Beta, MOP PTR, and Classic Era PTR.
I haven’t checked but if it isn’t there it’s probably just not listed to download yet. Sometimes you can’t download it until the last minute.

Just to give you a headsup, I believe it’s actually called “classic era ptr”. I just got a random update to this and I logged in and this is where they had tbc testing.
