The the step portal out in dalaran and I get a memory cant be read error. Game crashes.
Ive been doing absolutely nothing and get the same error. Literally AFK or tabbed out.
Was constantly happening.

Having the same error myself, tried a full restart, drivers updated, scan and repair, deleted all addons/interface /cache. Same result. Less than 20 seconds the client stays loaded before crash.

I saw there were some optimization changes in the prepatch could this be the cause?
Is it an ACCESS_VIOLATION error ?
I do not remember. The game would just instant crash and pop up 2 windows

I’ve been having the exact same issue, as well as I can see, a lot of people are. I’ve noticed that it happens when either I mouse over something in my bags, or preview what a piece of gear would look like on my character, or go to a new zone. This issue started back about a month ago when I started to play retail again after some time off. At that time it really was only when I’d mouse over random things in my bag. Now, 2 nights ago I queued up an LFR and as soon as I zoned in it insta-crashed. I tried and tried to get back in however the most I could manage was barely seeing passed the loading screen. I could totally log on to one of my other characters and do things but as soon as I went back over to where I was in LFR it was back to the ACCESS_VIOLATION. Only until my character was either booted from the raid or it ended, and I was back outside the raid could I log in. After this I queued once more and again the same thing happened. After that I’ve had a few other crashes but nothing that actually locked me out of the character like that. I was thinking I was going to have to open a ticket and have my character moved outside of the raid or something.

Still happening with the same exact error. This time, my Warlock took the portal from SW to Val. Crashed almost instantly. Now, I cant even play the character. Constant instant crashes as soon as I try to move. 3 straight times

Exact same error here. Happens on all my alts, mostly when I am flying. Making the game unplayable
And now Im getting World Server Down when trying to log in another.
Im one that could be considered a White Knight, since I do defend the devs from people who do not know what goes into programming and technology. But this is just bad. All the bugs and crashes and such.

And yeah, it’s an access violation. Uploaded the complete error message. Threads change but the instruction/memory stay the same
Look for intel specific drivers for your mother board. You have a 14th gen processor which is currently having issues (13th and 14th gen to be more specific). Also fixed all my access violation issues by turning down the processor a little bit.

Someone told me of a fix. I had to turn off anti-aliasing in the game. Since Ive done that, I have had no other issues
