On my Mac my account locks up my entire computer after about 15 - 20 mins play time. I have to hard reboot the system - no choice. This happened after the last downtime - It doesn’t happen on my PC - One other change is that I turned on 2 level authentication on my computer for security concerns and it is possible that Classic doesn’t work well - I have run a check from inside Battle Net app and turned off all add-ons nothing helps.

My first thought would be overheating. When WoW still ran on my old Mac, I used to use smcFanControl to monitor temps and adjust fan speed to help keep it cool.
But Nephe is right, the folks in the Tech Support forum are your best bet.
