Click and Target

To select a target—allies or even enemies—you have to release the left mouse button while the target is in the frame or over your character. It’s incredibly annoying; many spells or quick dispels will fail if you’re playing in arenas. For example, I press the R key (dispel in my case) and hold down the left mouse button because I’ve decided to select an ally with a dispel. If I had selected myself earlier, simply holding down the left mouse button and pressing R would have used the power on me instead of my target. Until Monday, target selection was instantaneous, and it should remain so; it’s absurd to have to release the left mouse button to perform the action.
Developers shouldn’t force a change like this without allowing users to choose how they want to use the interface. Twenty years of instant targeting, and now we have to let go of the click button.
Some people had problems clicking (Ctrl+Shift or Alt+click, but that’s a minor issue).

As technical is player discussion regarding crashes and installs, I’d suggest leaving feedback in the Guides > UI and Macro

There’s another thread I’ll try to find where they listed a work around in the discord

Right-clicking player portraits, party frames, or raid frames may not open the context menu. In some cases, left-click targeting may also not work. The issue may occur without any addons installed and persists after reloading the UI.

While we continue investigating this issue, please note that modifying the options, or pressing “Reset to default” (Menu > Options > Keybindings > Click Casting) can resolve this problem.
