Clearing up Visage Changes for me

I’ve been interested in coming back, and evoker seems like a cool class. However I’m not the biggest fan of the dragon form as a permanent part of combat. I read that early in TWW there is a plan to make visage happen in combat but the wording suggested it was only for non-evoker classes. Is this the case?

I totally get the dragonform would be required for some casted abilities, but if the plan was to have it “flicker” and only transforming for said abilities, before turning back for more rotational spells, I’d be all on board to roll one right now. Is there anyone who might be able to clarify what the plan is for these changes?

From everything I’ve heard and gathered— yes. They would have to retroactively go back and add custom animations to the Evoker class to allow them to work with the human/elf models. That would include spells like Disintegrate, Eternity Surge, Flame Breath, Pyre, Deep Breath, etc.

Now, granted spells like Disintegrate would easily be able to be casted out of the human/elf character’s hand probably, Deep Breath/Dream Breath would be difficult to integrate to a level that it would make sense. Also, the main movement ability Hover would need a custom animation since there are no wings in human/elf form. Maybe they could just have the puff of air under our feet or the Zephyr animation for that and call it done.

Man, Rescue would sure look funny as a normal elf man LOL.

Ah that’s too bad.

Yeah I figured there would be a list of some spells where you’d have to flourish and transform, before transforming back. Maybe have Hover use the wings and parrot the levitate animation.

Oh well xD. Rescue would look funny as heck haha
