So tonight, we finally killed Caldoran. It took us a few weeks but we one shot him tonight, and let me tell you…it was a great feeling. The prog in the raid in that moment felt rewarding. No, we didnt 20 man it. in fact we had about 30, but im still proud of our team. We also saw 2 Infusions drop and while i was the lowest of the 3 srs (xD) i was still hyped and pumped for my team members. Is it a little overtuned for 20? Yeah. But man the raid is a blast and i am having a great time in it. Thanks for all the effort and work blizz. I do hope someway somehow, theres a phase 9. Even if its smaller.

It is a blast, and a fantastic raid. They just need to tweak a few things before its too late. 1 more tier token off each boss, lower the damage and hp of a few things, and it would be fine for 20-25?

This raid is 100% to push you into retail or maybe MOP classic. Also the #1 progress on this raid is from nerfs to the raid, that really didn’t feel good to me.

The fact that it’s tuned for 20, but you needed 30+ to clear it says a lot. I’m happy y’all cleared it though.
The guild I’m in has merged and we’re raiding with 30+ atm as well, and we’re stuck on P1 on Caldoran (still learning where to place the fires), it’s a cool raid but there are a couple of bosses where it’s a straight pain. They could nerf the Council a bit more and also Solistraza a tad, but other than that it’s good.

Yeah, like i said in my post its probably overtuned for 20. Which is to why we had about 30. But its a fun raid regardless. I really enjoy it. Im not one of those people that will Bis out then stop playing, i enjoy raiding in the gear i earn. I look forward to playing this till TBC classic honestly. If i get bored ill prob work on my alts more.
I think they have the raid tuned in the ball park, now. The front bosses are doable with the back bosses give you the progression challenge.

Can you seed our next raid? My guild has killed Caldoran a total of 10 times (3 of these times last week when he drops 3 items) and we have seen… 0 infusions. I guess it will make it taste that much sweeter if/when it ever does drop though.

If that was their design goal, holy moly that’s a bad directive. Trying to “push” us in to MoP or retail. No thank you, never ever.

To think, all they had to do was add the option for HM(s) like every other single raid they’ve released in this iteration of WoW Classic and the out cry may have not been so split from the community. Oh well, hopefully they learn from this mode.

They learn that everyone want easy raids and the only challenge to be how fast you can clear it. Thats how you judge skills in classic. Speed runs
Well the class design and the SE raid are both very close to what we would see in MoP. Those who like this raid would most likely like MoP raids and challenge dungeons.
Pandaria just doesn’t appeal to me that much. I like the variety of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms.
