Cleansing Flames Doing More Dmg Than it Should

Went to steal Undercity’s flame and got hit by Cleansing Flames for 2,899 dmg on my 27 Warrior when the spell info clearly says its suppose to do about 336 dmg.

Can confirm. Spell ID:29139 that killed my level 11 Druid for 4,039 damage, when the tool tip says it will hit for 59 Fire Damage.

It just hit my level 50 druid for 35k plus 19k overkill. Though that was in Chromie Time, trying to get Thunder Bluff’s Flame. Orgrimmar’s Flame did not do this.

EDIT: Exact same thing outside of Chromie Time.

Same problem as Atenstein on my level 58 hunter. Orgimmar’s flame didn’t hurt me while Thunder Bluff’s killed me.

Tooltip in the combat log said it “inflicts 4,108 fire damage”, but it hit me for 31.5K. Second attempt I turtled before looting it and it hit me for 17K, allowing me to survive.

Edit: Later on a horde level 55 rogue I was hit for 19.8k at the Ironforge flame and 27k by the Stormwind flame.

Same issue, level 35+ DK, killed in UC, and in Shat. Both times hit for over 13K.

A few days later the same horde rogue, now at level 57, was hit for 32.6k by Cleansing Flame (tooltip in combat log says it should only be “4,017 fire damage”) and killed at the Darnassus bonfire.

It didn’t even grant me the quest trigger for Stealing Darnassus’s Flame to turn in the Darnassus flame before it killed me. I tried again and it didn’t work the second time either. This seems like a bigger bug since that wasn’t the case when I was killed while looting the flame previously.

I had to wait for Cheat Death to be off cooldown for a third attempt to get the quest item for Darnassus.

Exodar Cleansing Flame did 24.7k damage, which I survived without Cheat Death.

Hm. My level 60 priest was killed by Undercity’s flame. Then near Brill I got enough xp to level to 61, so I tried again, and the same flame did not kill me; it only took me to a bit under half health. (Which still might be more than intended though)

But something is definitely mistuned for anyone below 61.
