Classy Move Alert. Doubling SoD mount prices 2 days before patch

They should totally put taxes on everything too and if you mess up or skip on tax returns you go to jail. Imagine wanting to play a game instead of a second virtual life, you crazy people.

It’s looking like blizzard is raising the prices of mounts and placing BiS trinkets on a vendor because they are paving the way for the introduction of the wow token to SoD.

That would be a welcome change, thank you so much blizzard

That’s just bad design. Games aren’t supposed to be devs vs players. Video games are not supposed to be toxic or exploitive toward its players under the guise of ā€œcharacter building,ā€ which has always just been a cover-up for awful behavior.

Sanctioned RMT is the worst thing any dev can do for their game.

Higher mount prices might drive RMT, so mounts should be banned.

I always expected to be 100g, so no changes for me

Found the salty gold buyer that thinks the game sucks because he can’t pay RL money for his items :rofl::rofl:

Not a big deal

I used the term long-term to help you understand that farming gold for many hours to afford things in a temporary seasonal mode isn’t something most players in seasonal content probably want to do.

I’m absolutely ecstatic that they made the change. The game has very few proper gold sinks and with the xp->gold conversion at 25 the amount of gold in the economy is already insane.

Now I know what you are thinking, you want to blame GDKP’s and bots for all the gold and I am going to have to stop you there. While RMT might be a problem, the gold sellers earn their gold by farming items and selling them on the AH. The gold they sell is generated by normal players.

No, you ASSUMED it would be a price it was only at for SoM, which had reasons for being lower (faster leveling and faster release schedule). YOUR assumption there was faulty. Bad game design would have been leaving it as it was in SoM without the reasons it was made that way in SoM to begin with being present.

You can, and should have more than sufficient gold to buy your mount by 40. The vast majority of the gold you will earn by 40, while leveling is earned between levels 30-40… Ya’ll just being drama queens, this is a non issue. Hell, I’m going to have to buy 4 of the things, despite being a warlock main, and none of it is going to come from gold I had saved up during p1.

People were basing it on the prices they saw in game, which they rightly assumed were correct.

assumption is the mother of all screw ups. Basic logic would have told you it wouldn’t stay that low.

Probably another attempt to combat inflation, because there’s already way too much gold going around as-is.

Many players with 100+ gold so this isn’t gonna hurt anyone, really.

You’ll have that gold, or be close to it, by the time you reach 40.

If not, just do a few quests at max level, and you will.

So the assumption you make is that blizzard is just grossly incompetent and will randomly change things?

I mean that’s also not an unreasonable assumption.

Imagine being upset the mount is normal price.

Half priced mount was bad for the game.

Y’all can cry all the your wallet and start swiping now that you ruined the best gold farming tool. I can’t wait for the tears when real raids come out and y’all have to spend hundreds of gold each week on consumes :joy: :joy:

Based, make it 200g honestly.

At least Paladins are Ok.

It’s a non issue for basically everyone. Just like it was a non issue for the overwhelming majority of the playerbase in regular vanilla/classic. Just don’t spend gold frivolously on the way to 40 and you’ll be able to afford it no problem… I’m literally buying 4x mounts between my toons, not counting my warlock, and I’m assuredly going to end up with more gold than I’m spending on all of them individually. Quit tilting at windmills, Don Quixote. There are real issues you can get upset about, this isn’t one of them.
