Classic's worst type of ppl have shown themselves

Maybe the punishment for doing that should to be forced to find his wife. (or only show 10 of the same auction per account, that would do the trick)

The reason they do it is 2 reasons.

Some will jack up the 1 stack price to make it show up first and get people to just buy the 1 stacks once they get tired of scrolling.

Others make the price appear low to noob listers and snatch up the new big stacks listed at low prices.

Then you have groups of these people competing against each other with this method and it’s cancer.

thought this thread was about the racists

You’ve found Chinese gold sellers.

Orcs aren’t even human.

I will never buy single stacks and will always skip right OVER them…always been this way…it makes me BEYOND angry!!! I’ve been seeing this also.

I personally can’t wrap my head around why people are wanting to buy from the AH so early anyway…And people who post on the Ah like that, are trying to take advantage of a mindset that never existed back then. Sure, people did stupid things with the AH back then but they went broke pretty quickly because people were busy grinding out their own mats.

Why would I buy stacks of linen cloth when I can just grind for a few hours (drops) and have what I need for myself?

Some of ya’ll really can’t let go of retail. Seriously.

One reason this happens also is because there is no extra costs one one item. For example, last night I put a stack of 5 silverleafs for 1 silver and I had an extra cost of 19 coppers. But 1 silverleaf at 20 copper had no such costs.

Auctionator bypasses this shenanigans. just get a good auction addon.

The best vanilla AH scam is putting up ammo in stacks of 100 hoping it gets mistook for a stack of 1000.

You get your butt kicked financially if you buy these ripoffs. Just sort by most expensive and it’ll be less of a trip and you save money overall.

i was buying mats because they were listed at vendor sale price

some are mats i am hoping become more valuable and others i am using to do a mini power level of a prof in order to get access to better crafted items

i post greens at competitive prices above vendor value

and list nearly all white mats

i have made a few gold just using ah at these lowball prices

People playing the auction house as usual.

Who would have thought?

no…i dont have to buy it, but to actually BUY the stuff I want…i have to go through 600+.

yes, but even vanilla didnt do it near this badly (sure you had a 2 or so pages of singles, but then it was 5’s, 10, 20’s)

and even blizz disliked the single stacks enoguh on retail that they punished ppl for it by making it cost mroe to list.

fun fact!
/2 trade exists for WTB custom sizes!

i know it wont happen, but i still wish WoW would adopt FF14’s AH…all items are 1 listing and when you buy it takes lowest priced ones in order. (always best price and nothing to go throguh pages to find best deal)

the few racist people/comments are very much vanilla. (anvilmar actually had a person banned for a disturbing comment posted on trade)

tailoring is profitable enough to buy w/o losing money.

people want bags.

and FA is practically REQUIRED for some classes to lvl/quest at any decent speed. (i.e. warriors)

early release = tons of ppl farming every mob in game = reduced farmability.

also i buy out stuff that is literally less than its vendor value (minor healing pots are prime example of beign listed at 15c for 5 stack when vendor for 25c).

spending the time to list them and gather it would be a bad chose when you can easily play a more profitable area of AH.

If /2 exists for custom sizes why would anybody care if ah is flooded with singles?

By same logic use /2 for 5/10/20

Oh, reread what you wrote:

That isn’t a worry, since any auction add on (which everyone knows about, these days) orders them by stacks and best price by default. I’m using “Auctionator”, which does that. Has a nice Buy/Sell tab which does that by default (both for me buying, and for me selling.)

I love the way it orders something like “bow”, in a search for my level 16 hunter. There might be 50 of her next level of bow, but it shows the best price first. Then I decide if it is worth it, or wait until a higher one.

I notice i had to manually turn off “sell at 5 percent less.” That makes more sense in a modern server economy, but for a time like this it doesn’t.

Ironically the hundreds of single stacks are why the AH addons take so long to scan.

People who post items like this on the AH should have their characters deleted and forced to start all over from scratch again. It’s annoying af.
