Yeah bro, go watch the full video in the other thread. It doesn’t “need” to use the chat at all, but it can. Not only do I know how it works, I downloaded it and look at the source code to try to understand it.
It’s easier if you just go watch the full Mr GM video demonstration if you aren’t familiar with programming.
I never said the auto-invite vetted anyone. But you can choose to use it without posting anything to the chat, which means it would only be visible to others using the addon.

Layering will be gone before phase 2 hits and it’s intended purpose is to set the server populations up for longevity.
This was the right decision. Many of us see the LFG/LFR tools as one of the primary items that ruined the MMO feel of WoW and dissolved the game into being a shadow of its former self.
LFG/LFR isn’t the only negative contributor, I’m personally hoping that they aren’t afraid to take the axe to other contributors to the decline in game quality such as Flying Mounts as things move forward in the future.
It’s about hemorrhaging the right players.

Way to cater to the delusional nut jobs that want us all to have to play the same way despite the FACT that these kinds of addons could be created and function in actual vanilla.
You’ll hurt the community more by not allowing in-game tools because people will seek third party solutions outside the game.
The addon was extremely inclusive of people without the addon where discord or a third party websites will not be.
I’ll have the addon installed and parsing chat up until you break it and I have a feeling you’ll fail to really break the main purpose of it anyway as you would have to completely destroy the ability for addons to communicate + parse regular chat channels.
If you did that I’m not sure what spirit of vanilla it is you believe in, but you clearly have no idea what actual vanilla was like because it was less restrictive in terms of the freedom addons have by a large margin already.

I was referencing the mechanic that was added in WotLK. I can see you still understood what I meant, at least. I was also referencing the addition in WotLK of item-score addons that nearly all raiders adopted to criteria other raiders.
