Then go play retail. There’s no reason to make classic like retail when you have that option.
I never bought BFA. I went from WOTLK to Legion, then quit again. Came back just for the lore as I’ve been playing the series since Warcraft 2.
You want authentic experience, buy an used 10 year old computer and downgrade your internet connection. Let other people do whatever they want.

Unfortunately, the anti-ClassicLFG crowd don’t want to discuss discord at all. They deflect with “u lost” or “u mad” every time it’s brought up. I guess third-party programs are better than an addon in the game itself.

Discord doesn’t split the community too much. But most people aren’t gonna be bothered with the extra effort discord takes I think
I guess starman went back into hiding. He always shows up makes an azz of himself and then gets laughed out or the forums.
As far as the addon i can see it being reworked to be usefull without the problems people are worried about. The best thing is its gotten a lot fo exposure and if it is reworked and fits classic as per blizz it should be good to go.
Sucks for the author but for the ones who were so sure of themselves like starman and plaguelust all i can say is lololololol this thread has been the most laughs ive had all day lolol. I woupd love to have seen the smug smile just disappear lolo

One is an external program that most people use for communication
Discord is also used for raid night voice comms.
Besides, it would be horrible pr for blizzard to go after a program that is not affecting the actual code or memory of the game in the least, this not a bot program

The selling point of the addon is not being in trade looking for people, right? You can go flower picking while it finds people for you. So how do you group up when I’m posting in trade looking for people?

The same people that would use the LFG addon are the same people who will use Discord.

Like minded individuals stick together, most of the “hard core” players will use discord, and always were going to, doesn’t really affect anything

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear there. I went from Warcraft 2, to 3, to WoW Vanilla (Feb 2005), to TBC, to WOTLK, to Legion. I made 3 level 60’s on 3 different servers before paid transfers were a thing. I’m as old as blood plague, reckoning bombs, wall jumping to get into Hyjal.
Besides, it’s not up to you or your buddies to decide who the target audience is. Accept it and move on, I guess.
