If you’re like me, and these forums feel dry, check out the classic wowheads talent calculator! I spent two hours on it yesterday and realized that I’m definitely rolling a balance druid first. The balance spec is SO much cooler in classic. Also combat rogue and elemental shaman. We get three characters in the pre launch, these are them for me. What about you?
i do it on my phone and screenshot the builds i make…i currently have 60 screenshots i keep messing and tweaking around LOL ( across all classes not just one or two)
That’s really cool. The desktop version is impressively smooth. I’ll definitely explore all classes in due time, I only heard about it yesterday. But my god, the class builds just remind me why I fell in love with this game and why it will be a life long affair. We’re getting the wrath spell back!
give me back my vanilla shaman where I had a mountain of support, utility and flavor spells while being able to walk around and wreck face with windufry
Classicdb.ch also is useful.
Been using ClassicDB for a while.
Hunter
Rogue
Warlock or Warrior
Old news, but a good reminder.
Yes and they also have a ton of other great Classic resources - and building on that every day! Come launch it’ll be the go to resource. I’m already finding myself on there a lot.
You can click the link button under the builds and favorite/bookmark them. A lot easier than screenshots lol!
Agree you should be using the Classic DB Talent instead of WoW head. Classic DB has the level you are as you invest in the points and is easier to use.
But Classic.db.ch steals all of their info - talent calculator included - from Classic Wowhead. The only reason Classic.db.ch even still exists is because Classic Wowhead doesn’t have the money to fight the legal battle necessary.
Classic DB is the database website equivalent of a lazy, scummy cheat. They’re using the community’s excitement to make money off of doing nothing - at least put your page views on a website that cares enough about Classic WoW to make their own content. Use something else that at least operates original content (instead of plagiarizing) and doesn’t have a bunch of broken links if you really want to avoid Classic Wowhead. I mean FFS even the comment section of Classic DB is stolen from Wowhead.

I did all my talent trees the day after announcement. What rock have you been living under?
Classic Wowhead’s talent calc has that at the bottom under the talents.
screenshots easier for me imo, i can look at the pick mimic the build and see whats what if i get confused on what talent is doing what ;3 for on thego, i mean i can always just pull out wowhead calculator again where ever i am to check
Ive spent a lot of time on the shaman one since im leveling one in beta and my god the talents are awful.
Half of the big 11 or 21 talent points which can be new active abilities are boring passives.
All 3 specs the 11 point is a passive.
Ele and enhance the 21 pt is also a passive.
Maybe ill level something else lol.
11 AND 21 point talent just to parry and use a 2h??
I use this because I’m not the biggest fan of wowhead
combat rogue 100%, might switch for AV or level another rogue
Also a pick picture shows you all the talents at a glance. A link doesn’t expressly say anything about the talent tree without having to click and load it up.
A link is better if you want to go back and change a few talents, a picture is just fine if you only need to remember what the talents were.
Edit: A pick would not show you anything except maybe the inside of some rocks. A picture, however, would.
Honestly much better without the ads, also its not laggy like the wowhead one
I’d love a site that has a full proper character planner to look at stats with a set of gear, consumables, and talents.
