Because BE are not a playable races.
I was thinking about if I was going to play classic or not then I remembered that belves won’t be in it so I’m going to be playing it
Now that, is where you are wrong. I main a blood elf, but to get the play style of classic back, I would be willing to sacrifice blood elves.
Hopefully one day we get BC servers though.
I hope classic fails but at first it will ‘look’ really busy and then likely will drop off hard when no new content is added.
I want it to fail to get those developers back working on the main game.
It wont fail but its going to be a change for most.
No paladins on Horde and no Shaman on Alliance.
Horde misses out on awesome Paladin raid buffs/auras and great crit healers.
Alliance misses out on Windfury and stacking multiple totems at once. Also Lesser Healing Wave is the most efficient heal in the game.
and take Retail and the genre with it!
It’s a terrible plan, they really need to craft a WoW 2. They could even use the same engine just refine and reboot what they have now.
Unless they take the old school runescape method and start adding content until it wipes the current version off the map
we have dwarfs so it will be ok
I think you’ll be very disappointed this summer.
Why would you want something to fail? Do you know how laughably petty that is ?
They’re separate teams anyway. They hired a crew for classic.
Who needs a blood elf when I can be a can be a two handed, windfury, triple crit, lottery procing enhancement shaman!
Least in classic we wont have to hear about people complaining about High Elves because Blood Elves wont even be in the game
I can honestly forsee them adding new content for classic. Though I think it would be something along the lines of them opening up Karazhan to raid.
good
blood elves are overrated anyways
IMO the only way classic will succeed is if they expand the game and create new content in the style of classic.
Nobody wants to play in a sandbox of memories forever.
Hell it might even be cool if they expanded it with more dungeons or raids or quests. It doesn’t even have to be tuned or balanced for a world first race. It just has to be fun.
That is the issue at hand. Once you get to Naxx there is no place to go. You are stuck at that point in time. Even moving from classic to BC was a huge shift in how the raids / classes worked. They would need really big jump in sub numbers due to classic to justify original content.
considering all the top devs are on the mobile team you wont be getting anything either way
People will lose interest once it takes two hours to hit level 10.
Well I’m kind of just saying that there is a reason why old school Runescape is working. Because the teams assigned to it ask and involve the community about what they want.
Then they create content in accordance to it.
Otherwise it’s going to just be another ‘remaster’ which is just a graphics bump up.
Once players get bored of Classic, the servers will be bare, and they will die because of the simple fact that blizzard as of late has been afraid to touch their cash cows to make it fun and enjoyable, over boring and addictive.
Edit: also, nothing is as time consuming as animation. But blizzard has been killing it on that front in multiple games. At this point with the amount of resources they have, even a small team of 5-10 could very easily create good content in Classic WoW.
Edit 2: I honestly think that I’d be having way more fun in WCIII Reforged if there is no new content in classic.
I am hoping they make some adjustments. I remember wearing grey for half my body armor because crap was hard to get leveling. Not having a trinket till level 30 and it was a pvp one. Are just soem of my mian concerns. Other is balancing. Back then there were like 4 got to classes and that it. For me it was human or drawf, even though i like night elf. When i level on horde side it was either tauren or forsaken mostly. except for shaman orc. Well i can hope they fix somethings.
It was a slog for sure. There weren’t nearly as many quests as now either. I remember hitting points where you were just chain killing mobs for exp. this was especially true in the 50s.
