WoW on console has been brought up since all the way back too the original Xbox.
I think now finally maybe the time for this. It really wouldn’t be that hard to port over to the Xbox One. The system can easily run it, and the system requirements would never change. Xbox One has Keyboard and Mouse Support and it would be easy enough to just require a mouse and keyboard to play. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be possible.
So I wonder if there is any change of it happening now with classic wow?

Can they run it with same Code on xbox?
Most multiplayer games don’t have cross-platform connection because of licensing. If WoW were to go on xbox, it’d almost certainly be only xbox players playing with each other. How many people do you think would play WoW on xbox?
XBL and PSN would explode.

You have to own the current expansion to play it so its not possible.
You don’t need the currect xpac to play classic just a subscription.

Final Fantasy XI was cross platform between PS2, PC, and XBox 360 once upon a time. FF XIV is currently cross platform PS4/PC. It’s certainly doable, but not sure if Blizzard would want to put the effort into it at this point.

On topic, WoW Classic isn’t a game suited for console. There are too many buttons / inputs to comfortably fit on a controller.
That would not make me sad. I would play WoW on my phone. Actually, don’t do that, because then I will FOR SURE lose my job.
