Created my toons almost a week ago and I feel like as if they are making no progress at all. Heck they are still wearing the same tired old outfit. Don’t even get me started on their professions. Maybe I will try a quest or something.
You a funny guy
I took advantage of the open weekend to play classic and it was an eye opener. I did hit 15 (cap) and it took awhile (I leveled skinning and tailoring) I know weird combo but I wanted easy coin (skinning) and I wanted some bags. Well in the short weekend of play I managed to get 49 gold! I corned the market on bags and sold them cheaper than the bag vendor with honored rep. But I was playing a mage and mages are very good levelers, hunters are too after level 10 (getting to 10 solo pretty much sucks)
Just remember that, technically, 15 was the level cap-so your gold gain skyrocketed once hitting that cap. Especially from quests—and everyone was upcharging things and blowing the crazy amounts of gold they had on stuff, when they wouldn’t have that amount of gold come live.
Great point! I did remember seeing some crazy coin gains from turning in quests. I think a grey quest that was take x to y even gave me 85 silver.
From everything I’ve seen and heard, it’s tedious, not tough. A matter of time, not skill.
Not that that’s unusual for an RPG.
That’s a matter of mindset. A lot of people enjoy this type of gameplay and do not characterize it as “tedious” at all, even if mechanically it’s nothing special.
Perhaps the phrase I should’ve used is “time consuming”.
There you go.
Even with the 15 cap I am amazed you amassed so much gold (49g). I spent 10s on one guy to learn a new weapon and I was regretting that choice for a short period thinking I should have saved it for training. I really need to get my finances in better shape when it goes live. That guy I spent the money on had to pick just 1 thing to train when I leveled up . I was basically broke.
You need to pick up the pace. I’m already exalted with the login screen.
