Amazing everything you said was entirely wrong. The most egregious thing you said here was people dont play classic for the fun of it. Are you really so dense that you dont even understand that different people enjoy different things? cmon man lol its as if you cant even fathom classic being a success so you make up nonsense to justify why its doing so well lol
yeah i get that but it isnt the ONLY thing are playing it for though
Would love a source for your title.
Yeah, no one uses any of these things in classic…
Raises hand.
Count me in that “most” people group.
I use a coordinates addon and BeQuiet.
Handynotes after I run through a zone and didn’t find everything.
I think we’re taking things a bit too literally.
I’m sure if they revamped the original version of League of Legends folks would flock to it too. Doesn’t mean they’ll stay.
Can the whole “my version of wow is better than your version of wow” thing just die already?
Also, I like how the OP has the numbers to prove just how more popular Classic is to retail.
Classic WoW—well, at least until they get to Cata—and SoD do not have holy power as a resource mechanic. Holy Power is okay for Ret but I hate having a combo system for Holy/Prot. I step into Classic and always have fun as a holy pally, but that wasn’t always the case in Cata/Mists/WoD/SL and today in DF. Others love it, and that’s great, but Holy Power plus healing (and tanking) is not for me. In the grand scheme of reasons to play classic, not liking Holy Power is a very small reason to enjoy Classic, but it’s one of the biggest for me.
It never ended for Runescape, so I don’t see it stopping anytime soon here. Some people generally just like to compare everything and get very territorial and combative with these things for some reason
Just Shadybolt telling people they are wrong. It’s his signature move if you look up his post history.
I muted him a few days ago because he contributes nothing positive to any thread he posts in. He just lives for the dopamine hit you get when people respond and the best way to make that happen is to tell them they are wrong about something. Doesn’t matter what. If he gets proven wrong with facts or evidence, he just moves on to a new thread and tells someone else they are wrong. It’s really sad. I recommend ignoring him.
Popular? I’d love to see raw numbers on this, if you can provide them. I played for about 2 hours on classic and realized quickly that I just don’t miss anything from vanilla. It wasn’t that great to begin with.
12-20 min bg ques classic, 3-5 min que retail, if the bg ques were the same as retail id be in classic, but faster in retail.
They are probably close to even. Some people probably play both.
However, Classic also doesn’t have four hundred servers, phasing, war mode, and sharding constantly dividing the player base into ever smaller groups either. Though Cataclysm will add phasing to Classic…
Did you just forget about the Emerald Dream?
LMAO
Hey everyone…did you realize there are NO cosmetics you have to work for in retail now that we have the trading post?
ugh.
I really got to start taking these warning signs more seriously
Sometimes it feels like theyre here cheer/crying about how great classic is compared to retail because they have retail envy.
I mean, if I REALLLY love what Ive got, what the hell do i care what someone else is doing with their crap? lol
The OP and all like it feel very disengenous, to be frank.
its like they know retail is better and theyre desperately trying to convince themselves, not us.
I disagree with the premise that Classic is more popular based on 100% of all evidence we have access to.
I guess something is broken on my end then. I don’t log in to find the month’s worth of cosmetics in my mail.
What are you winning? Sorry, I’d rather less bots and no one hacking my account.
But it does have rampant bots worse than retail from what I’ve been told by some friends who quit because of it.
The lessons that it’s okay for people to hack your account and have more bots than players?
Because those are the only lessons I’m seeing here. Your opinion on the races and the misinformation about the Trading Post don’t add anything to this.
If you like Sod, great. That’s why it exists for people to try. But let’s not do nonsensical comparisons with misinformation and misunderstanding on why certain things exist in Retail and even Wrath.
