Except mine isn’t hyperbole and anyone who actually played vanilla knowns how massively messed up your UI was due to the many add-ons used even back then on the tiny 800x600 screens we had at the time.
Tell me you have no idea what you’re on about without telling me you have no idea what you’re on about.
What’s your deal, man? You do the exact same thing. Most of your posts are about how retail is dumb and retail players suck and everyone on the forums is a bunch of losers who don’t know what an MMORPG is.
Tell me you didn’t play the first 2 expansions without directly saying you never played the first 2 expansions. Healers could pull threat by healing too much, a rogue would pull threat if they hit eviscerate at the wrong time, threat was such a huge deal back in the day that alliance dominated raids simply by having access to a buff that reduced threat generation. A threat meter was REQUIRED for anyone who wasn’t being hard carried, pure and simple didn’t matter if you had no abilities that generated extra threat you were pulling threat if you did too much dps. Maybe you’re ok doing a sub-par job at the role you signed up for, but most of us find doing less than our best and being ok with that pretty damn embarrassing.
People like to praise the art department all the time and they are definitely capable of good work. But anyone who’s actually experienced in the industry as an artist/designer can spot the mistakes first year artists make from a mile a way. Clutter and glowing rainbow vomit is just one of them. It’s like when people first learn photoshop. All they want to do is make everything glow, drop shadow and beveled.
Or OP mean Sod is more popular? because I actively play wotlk classic and there’s no raids going for most of the day until 6-8 pm on a “full” “high” realm everyday… it’s mostly gdkps LFM or for later just like guilds LFM for later…
Sod got the most resources than all of the other classic versions so far yes and it will continue seems like considering they plan to keep releasing new things… so yeah…
I played vanilla in late 2004 on a crappy Intel, a 21 inch Compaq CRT monitor, a ball mouse on dialup.
Stop assuming youre the only one who played vanilla ( if you even did ) oh and by the way in 2004 hardly anyone knew that addons even existed until word of mouth spread either in game or in the gaming mags.
You seem like one of those classic andys who claims they’re an OG but really aren’t.
Same, I played parts of TBC and WOTLK classic but SOD is the only reason I resubbed. About 10-12 different members of my discord friends who haven’t played in while resubbed too.
While I do think it will die down some I think it will go right back up in phase 2. I think a lot of people who don’t enjoy the current direction of wow have come to check this out. There are also a lot of people who like current wow and just want something else to do.
Enjoy whichever version you want. For me i promised myself after being disappointed multiple expansions i was done with retail. I won’t be playing it but blizzard might have made a long term customer again with SoD.
