"Classic WoW is dying"

I’d argue that WoW in totality (at the moment) is transitioning to a pretty good place. Classic reinvigorated the community indefinitely and it shows in game. While some tourists may have stopped playing this consolidation is good for the overall community that is Classic.

We are just getting started friends.

Just hit 30 today. On that warrior grind.

Only person that says that Classic WoW is dying is Tanksie, and who knows where he is now.

Also, while the customer support/blizz presence is atrocious, at least the interactions in game has been pretty spot on.

EDIT: May have shot my shot too soon. After perusing the forum a bit, I am somewhat happy to see a very noticeable change. I hope to see more of it.

It’s sad how excited people are over three posts in four months, especially after the Whitemane incident.

I’m just glad most people don’t read the forums, and therefore don’t know that they aren’t supposed to be enjoying classic.

While it’s not exactly what we wanted, I think with as much as we’ve been on these forums and how little there has been, there is some hope there?

An interaction in the community is a start, but hopefully it trends and we can get more of those important feedbacks.

oh, this is what you call the 5 or so guild I saw fold due to boredom in the past month?

Yes, if they rushed to the end to see all there was to see at teh time, and don’t have staying power, then they are all tourists.

why am I not surprised to see this utterly moronic argument again and again… it’s the only thing classic zealot have.

6 months in, still calling it a rush…

I’d rather have a couple bug fixes over some meaningless posts in a different color. The Whitemane post burned any goodwill he might have had.

Why are you trying to change the subject?

They came, they saw, they left, end of story.

It has suffered a huge loss of players. Call that what you will.

It is a rush. If you play moderately say 2-3 hours a day, there’s just no way to be exalted with everything, loaded with gold, and have all your professions maxed, a bank alt leveled, and a stock pile of mats.

This is not a game that you can expect to play 50-60 hours a week and expect more to be there for you. Unless you’re leveling alt after alt.

Well I won’t pretend to think our fist shaking at the clouds had anything to do with the sudden uptick, but I hope that it means SOMETHING.

What else do we got to lose? If we throw our hands up then we only then have ourselves to blame on holding them accountable.

that’s expected. todays generation of gamers are not good with this type of game. They need directions in big flashy boxes and things to occur the second they log on.

He’s a community manager, which is just another way to spell babysitter. We’re not going to get anything real from him.

Well, maybe I’m being naive to the normal Blizz ebb and flow, but I just think that we need to keep the torches and pitchforks up, welcome whatever response so far, and go from there.

and I’ll also be amazed at how eager to see people leave classic, classic zealots are.

professions… you mean the thing that take an afternoon when you’re 60?

loaded with gold… oh yeah, farming 100g a week just to enjoy the other half of the game really make classic fun.

bank alt leveled?.. why does my bank alt need to be higher than 1?

exalted with everything… why would I care about bloodsail rep and such?

sigh.

This is not a game that you can expect to play 50-60 hours a week

indeed. this game barely have enough for 2 hours per week.
