Is it me, or is classic wow classes getting more attention with new spells and abilities than retail? I’m sorry, but why is retail wow still keeping the classes stuck in a box, but in classic where things are suppose to be, you know, “classic,” allowed to spread their wings and experiment with variety. Retail classes in my opinion are extremely stale, and the new hero spec at blizzcon demonstration was so thrown together last minute with barely any demonstration. I’m just annoeyed at this new expac. They are focusing on the wrong aspects of the game. They care more about mounts and flying rather than the most important part of the game…ummm the classes!!
What new spells and abilities ??

In season of discovery mages can heal, warlocks can tank and shamans can also tank. Thats rpob what hes referring to.

Classics getting cata and season of discovery relatively soon while retail is heading towards the tail end of an expansion with almost no real information on the new expansion abilites besides 2 alpha class talent screenshots.
Classic just has more going on right now; as we get closer to TWW alpha well probably get a lot of new stuff.

By the looks of it they are taken ideas from the iligal servers and puting them into clasic. Whis the whole reason classic exist it was cheaper to just give players classic then fight iligal servers in court.
I wouldn’t call slapping some retail spells onto classic classes more attention.
Retail classes are designed very well. I wish the reworks would come faster, but if the reworks are all going to be as good as the Paladin rework, then I’ll gladly wait.
I love classic, especially vanilla, and don’t mind the simplicity, but introducing retail class design into vanilla content is a welcome change because it makes more specs viable and interesting.
Is proof Blizzard truly doesn’t understand the purpose of most Classic players, which is simply returning to the old world before the cataclysm.
I’m betting when they blow the world up yet again, private servers will see a resurgence.
They added gladiator stance back in this new classic season for warriors.
That’s enough to get me to play. Sword and shield DPS warriors? Yes, sir, sign me up.
Wish retail would do more fun and experimental stuff like this. But it would make the 1%ers cry little tears and we can’t have that.

Additionally DF just had a full talent tree redesign this expansion. Which, I would say is significant. Several classes have had talent tree re-works as well. Which are way more changes than classic, and even season of discovery.
They are not changing classic. They are having a season of discovery. Which is a server with different aspects. The game will be level capped at 35 at the start. Then incrementally increased. They are not changing all the classes and specs in Classic HC or Classic WoTLK/Cata.
Did I miss something at Blizzcon? What new spec? What class got a new spec?
