All the fights in Vanilla are pretty one-dimensional. The fights themselves donāt have many such phases or the like, they simply work as ātank and spankā mechanics and the gear checks are via resist or basic raid makeup mechanics. Huhuran is a classic example of that. Iād approach it one way, and many will, but some will stack nature resist and struggle with it. Cāthun is a monster and he can still one-shot a 120 to this very day. Some stuff gets complex for 40 people, but itās really nothing when you compare a fight like Garrosh or even Klaxxi (sorry I only really remember those) to Vanilla. Resist checks are in abundance and consumables are in demand otherwise, but talking fight mechanics? No, vanilla is very simple and I have admit extremely one-dimensional even when compared to raid finder. Iām sure mana bomb will kill raids but people will learn how to KT and how to assign stomach killer on Cāthun. Itās not exactly rocket surgery.
I only did uldir heroic do to i was waiting to see if they were going to do the same as they did in legion. As gear scaling like crazy meaning my gear became worthless after every patch. Then I just started twinking when it did. I feel like itās fun but a waste of time if I put time into a game and my gear becomes worthless in 2 months.
I did uldir when it first hit a promise to my brother. He wanted me back in mythic raiding was wanting to pay for my sub. I just couldnāt do it anymore. Blizzard f this game in a sense.

theyāre getting rid of tf. from this point on it wonāt be any different than classic raids giving better non-tf gear every tier.
Have to agree with you on that, the demon fight quest in Blasted Lands is a good example, that gear is useful so much later as shadow resist against Twin Emps. I pity the locks who DE or vendor that precious Shadow Resist stuff for the time is VERY useful down the road during Twin Empsā¦ You can however, bypass much of it with strong heals but still, very useful. Many would remember farming Mara for NR gear and even though few used it, it was viable in AQ40. Imagine that in retail? Gear from leveling dungeons or quests being valuable, noā¦ essential in raids.
At least the gear holds value. Think about it bro every time in legion I was doing mythic ToS then a patch came out my gear was like WQ gear. How do you think I felt?
So, I stopped to do pserver waiting for classic.
I even had one of the top DH tanks in legion That was for ToS come with me demonic spelled wierd. I think he parsed 2nd in something in the world he was in my guild at the time.

the only gear that will āhold valueā for the entirety of classic is naxx gear. nothing else will be that degree of BiS for pvp or pve at any point. and you canāt get that any time soon.
Too much itemization in retail, way too much to doā¦ Itās overwhelming and you have to play 19 hours a day just to keep up with mounts, pets and achievements. Itās crazy how much there is to do and in so little time. Then it gets removed or is useless. I hold so much Vanilla gear and trinkets to this very day on my toons. Barov Peasant caller etcā¦ Not because itās useful. -Not by any meansā¦ but it was at one point and nothing Iāve held onto like that since. Then thereās toys that come to mindā¦ Thereās just too much and itās way too overwhelming. You can get TOEP as a mage and be happy to have it for the whole time classic is played. You arenāt having to get a new trinket every iteration of content. Itās very annoying and it all just whizzes by, making it not memorable or valuable.

All gear will hold some value, reason ppl will have to do what you did to get it.
Of course ppl will pay for cares but still have to do something to get it.
Of course I am not going to sit in t1 forever.

Naxx set is terrible for a lock in Naxx. For PVP and PVE. Any warlock who thinks having 9/9 makes them a god is telling you some porky pies.

I know I will do BWL.
I have to see how my guild will progress.
I will have to sacrifice a mixed build to do higher content. Which is ok but I may not have time and tell you the truth. I am little nervous on Naxx40. I did naxx10/25 the in wrath when it first hit not bad it took a few weeks. Itās got me thinking I did it at lvl 80 the raid had the same stats for lvl 60.
Well doing it in my head itās going to be bad.
Special in the guild I am in currently. I love the guild I am in, will not change but ppl still mess up Mc sometimes. Naxx has little to no room for error.
Mythic raids in legion had room for minor errors.
You could spec to survive easier.
The only boss it gave me problems or nightmares was TBC lady vashj. When SSC first came out. It took months (not sure how long but it felt like forever) macros and god knows. Blizzard did a small nerf and she died. Ppl said she was impossible till the nerf but kept trying. No errors could be made. Ppl said sun well was hard but it felt more like rotation/gear check some mechanics. I did not feel like it was that hard. Just only one boss put it on me it was her.
Parts of me wants a crack at cāthun un nerfed. Then after a month fix the bug / nerf it.
Try leveling as alliance on Fairbanks from 48-60 in phase 2 then come back and ask again.
