Classic+ is coming whether we like it or not. When server population begins to decline in roughly 4-6 years Acti-blizz will be looking to make sure that they are getting their money’s worth out of allocated server tech. As we know the big game companies such as this will be squeezing every dime they can out of their games or they will get axed. When subs dip and people have gotten their fill of what content they wished to achieve individually is completed Classic has the opportunity to those still playing the game at that time to be offered more content in the guise of extended professions, late game raiding, itemization that could help with class balance rather than reworking their talents. This example I have given would not affect the rest of the classic experience if they don’t want to play it. Remember i said 4-6 years later, so you’re the troll if you respond to this post and still envision yourself playing for 4-6 years.
Before you start calling me a troll, and whining that I am saying something that is made to just make people mad. I am not trying to make you mad, I am stating how the world is as a matter of fact. We can 100% say for a matter of a fact that the Classic population will dwindle after 4-6 years, we can also say for a matter of fact that in response that if this happens the game will either become not supported again (get the axe) or it will adapt and give people reasons to come back. MMORPGs were never made to be stagnant for long, the success relies on giving players fresh content to chase after. IMO a slow continued vertical raid/profession progression would be ideal. using in game assets and models already present.
Also I am not saying the TBC advocates or Wotlk advocates should not get their own individual servers, because I really don’t care and likely won’t play those unless a plethora of my friends decide to (I don’t see that happening though), but that doesn’t mean I don’t want you others to not get what you want.
Now I know this is going to make some of you mad, I know you will respond with your emotions and attack me and this will show that you are not thinking clearly and are having trouble wrapping your head around this. That is fine, we will have 4-6 years for you to see that it doesn’t take a psychic or a super computer’s analytics to know what will happen. So before you just start screaming NO changes as if that was an argument, remember you’re advocating you’d rather the game dwindle away than to change and adapt. So in closing the REASON for this post because it is NOT a troll post, is to help you to start wrapping your heads around it, and get the juices flowing. I’d hope we could have a chill conversation where people didn’t just attack me or someone else for their opinions.
If millions of people show up and play for years, that’s awesome. And if just tens of people show up and play for years, we’re fine either way. What’s important to us is that we have this Classic experience people can enjoy, that people do have the opportunity to go back to. This is an important game in videogame history and there’s not a way to go back and experience that today. This is also about preserving something that we think is really important.
Classic+ will be brand new servers if it happens at all. Classic will remain untouched even if it’s just 3 servers per region with all characters merged there.
And we first have 6 years of Classic, TBC Classic, Wrath Classic to go.

And no, Classic+ isn’t coming. It’s a terrible idea. It would destroy Classic. Current Blizzard can’t make a quality mmorpg. And players don’t now what they want. It would go down the same disastrous path Current WoW did.
Optional, separate TBC and perhaps eventual Wrath servers are perfectly fine and provide the same function as Classic: offering a distinct time period in the game’s history.
But if people want WoW 2, go to General and ask for WoW 2. That is NOT what Classic is. It’s a museum piece. So…deal with it.
I disagree that current devs can’t make a good mmo. I think they can clearly see that what Classic players like and what BFA players want are different. They btw are the ones smart enough to bring Classic back in the first place. So you’re using paranoia and emotion rather than logic.
Well, we’re all Human in real life and you are posting from an Orc which means you do play Horde that has Trolls… so yeah… you’re a troll. And, you’re wrong about the whole matter of fact thing. Because not once did Blizzard say that this fantasy idea of yours called Classic + is coming… because it’s not.
When you make any change to Classic… it no longer remains Classic. Instead, the game changes into something else entirely different. The minute you add or remove any feature into Classic, it does not matter what it is; be it a voting system, gate, class balance, achievements, transmog, dungeon finder, flying, etc then you may as well be playing BfA. You are flat out asking Blizzard to remove from or add to Classic WoW.
If you modify one thing, to Classic then you may as well modify everything else and call it BfA. It’s simply not fair to add to or remove one feature, no matter how small you or anyone else think it is, and deny all other features.
In short, the answer is full stop: NO! J. Allen Brack said that Blizzard will make Classic as it was and thus creating an authentic experience for the players. You want changes? BfA is --------------> that way.
I would appreciate if you’d discuss the topic at hand within this post instead of trolling, to try to prove some point.

No you did not discuss the topic, you just copy/pasted your opinion from another post to my topic. That’s hardly debating or discussing anything. Then you referenced the post to try to call me out.
I actually did discuss your topic… in fact it is a topic that has been talked about and re-hashed many times over. At this point… you’re beating a dead horse. You happen to disagree with me and anyone else then choose to name them trolls.
The automated system is working as intended. If you see this message on multiple posts, it’s because of the overwhelming troll posts that come into this forum.
I suggests new posters ‘read’ the forum for a little while (at least the stickies!) before jumping into them. This goes for any forum out there, by the way.
