Anyone can name the few Alliance streamers there are. Doesn’t make them the majority. The majority of WoW streamers in retail WoW are Horde and it will be the same story when they stream Classic WoW.
Ok, so many people have named quite a few popular streamers that are going alliance. Can you name all the ones going horde?
And even though I am not a fan of Asmongold, that guy has a ton of people always watching him.
OP, you keep using the term “100%,” yet from context, you don’t seem to understand what it means.
Also, truth is not the same as opinion.
Just helping out!
I won’t name any names but I’ll be glad to take a screenshot for you of the Twitch page of Classic WoW and count out the Horde streamers to Alliance ones to prove it.
I used 100% correctly cause I’ll be 100% correct that Horde will have a higher population on Classic WoW reflecting their mass appeal on retail WoW. You shall see.
I was on an Alliance minority server in Vanilla. It was great. I hope you’re right about all servers being Alliance minority this time around, though that’s probably just wishful thinking.
10th grade must have been the hardest 3 years of your life.
The Horde culture became appealing in Warcraft III, and I think a lot of nostalgic players play horde because of the campaign missions they played in that game.
Here is an experiment go to the Twitch page for WoW right now. Go to the first top 10 streams on it playing right now. Click on them. What are they playing? I see 6 Horde and 4 Alliance. I’m right. This is how it will look on Classic WoW as well.
You have no argument.
Of course it will be different. We have an entire new generation of kids playing who are giddy about right click report and completely changing the culture of vanilla.
It will not be remotely the same due to who we have to tolerate in this day and age.
Neither does the OP.
Then why are you here?
Burning Crusade was hands down the best condition the game has ever been in. Classes ended up pretty well balanced and all specs were at least moderately viable.
Actually, Blood Elves were added to get the Asian market to play Horde. #TrueFacts
I think most pvpers roll horde and most pvers roll alliance because of racials… Nothing to do with streamers, more to do with knowledge of the game
That’s partially true in the context of vanilla WoW but it isn’t true for retail WoW. It doesn’t matter if it’s PVE or PVP on retail WoW the Horde was marketed to be more popular in both aspects. And that popularity which has been built up over the course of retail WoW is going to be reflected in Classic WoW.
Only horde streamer I know of is Sodapoppin. Asmongold and Esfand are going alliance in the same guild so the trolling aspect of players looking to stream snipe will be equal on both sides of the server in Classic.
I’m pretty sure streamers are split somewhat evenly
And horde will be played more for better racials.
So, I’ve been playing since shortly after Vanilla came out, and this is only my opinion based on discussions I’ve had with dozens of players throughout the history of the game, but most people I remember chatting with about faction balance back in the day found that a lot more younger players would pick Alliance because they were the “good guys” and due to their age, they preferred PvE servers to not get ganked while leveling, while most of the older players went with Horde/PvP because, let’s face it, being the bad guy is pretty fun sometimes.
Racials didn’t play that much into it that early in the game because there wasn’t a huge amount of theory-crafting or min-maxing in PvP until BGs came out. But maybe I was just late to the party, I only made it to level 52 on my main by the time BC came out…
Ghyslain laying down some TRUTH here
Nope. It is just like Vanilla WoW as we know it. The classic servers will not have Blood Elves. I played test servers.
