Despite warrior having been one of my favorite classes in retail WoW and the original release years ago, I had been quite concerned about the leveling process because of how many people were warning that it was agonizingly slow and painful. Now, I’m only 22, and I have had the benefit of leveling mostly with groups and my guildmates (and keeping my gear up to shape), but even when I’ve been questing solo I haven’t found warrior leveling to be that bad at all. So, for other classic warriors out there, what do you think about your experience so far?
I quit mine and rolled this mage instead; it was just too boring.
I’m also now playing a Fury Warrior in retail - got to level 17 last night before heading to bed. The combat is just far more fun.
I love my Tauren warrior, only started playing Inn legion and missed the whole vanilla experience. Refuse to play anything else. I’m 25

Level 32 on my orc warrior. You can’t rush it, you’ll just get frustrated. Focus on here and now instead of what you’ll be doing in 10 levels, or at 60.
^^ This is my warrior!
Yes.

See what I did there?
I’m simply find the versatility a little more fun. Teleports. Water. Food. A lot of fun spells as I get higher in levels - AOE Grinding.
I’m only level 19 but so far warrior leveling is just about exactly as I remember it.
The “rotation” is boring but you could say the same of every Classic class. What makes it interesting is 1. the constant challenge of not dying through either consumables, perfect execution, running away, or getting help, and 2. the constant interaction with other real people who are also out there questing.

If all you’re doing is spamming Frostbolt then you’re Mage’ing wrong. Mine is only level ten and I have six spells on my bar and rotate them all while also weaving in my wand. It’s fun and very effective. I can’t wait to get more spells to work with.
I re rolled this guy too. Got a Rogue to 15 and engineering to 150 in a day.
Been leveling Warrior as prot, I’ll have to change specs and see if that makes it a little less boring.

Thats all it takes to make the experience better than retail.
Prot leveling is an infamous no no. You don’t need prot to tank dungeons, and it is so very, very slow to level without points in the arms & fury trees. I’d definitely recommend a spec change.
Bruh solo its painful. In pvp server its worse. But I am sticking to it. already 32… Weapons matter so much it isnt even funny… Plan your upgrades.
I mean, AoE grinding entire armies of mobs.
You forgot something:
NEED MORE RAGE, Auto attack, NEED MORE RAGE,NEED MORE RAGE,NEED MORE RAGE, auto attack, NEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGENEED MORE RAGE
My warrior is hitting 18. started with a rogue, I felt that it would be a fast leveling spec (and it is). But to be honest, my warrior isn’t really slower, just different. Quick tip for those who are feeling it’s slow. If your leveling with sword/board, it IS slow. Pick up a 2h-er and put your skill points in arms or fury, you’ll notice a big difference. Prot spec is NOT needed for most small group content. you can tank most dungeons with a fury/arms spec just fine.
I get why it doesn’t appeal to some. All good, that means less warriors out there, more group slots for me. Course, I leveled a warrior in classic/TBC/wrath, So I know the ropes. And I’m OK with that.
I like levelling my warrior and have had very few issues so far. I levelled one back in the day too and it was also fine.
I use my shield sometimes, but mostly 2h Arms. If a quest is hard (elite or something) I group up.
Keep some bandages and food in your bag.
Rage generation is tough on the early levels, makes warriors pretty boring to start.
2 days, 43min played, lvl 22 prot, axe n boarding through the world.
Loved every bit of it so far, just as I did long ago.
I did exactly opposite. Got mage to 32 and rerolled warrior.
It was frosbolt, frostbolt, frost nova, drink
In dungeons its only frostbolt…
I couldnt handle the drinking downtime
One thing I found useful as a warrior… alchemy. I have 5 elixir buffs at all times and healing potions.
Also of the boar greens are +str and +spirit which makes downtime minor and damage good.
I read for warriors they receive 0.80 per point of spirit, so 80 hp5 for 100 spirit.
Throw in trolls blood elixir and goodbye to eating
Rage generation is cancerous though.
