I read that this was a legendary artifact weapon that can only be summoned by GMs. Would be cool if we could see them in classic, even if its as hard to get as atiesh (if not more harder). Im not talking about the glaives with the burning green fire running on it, these specific glaives was added in 1.12 as stated from wow-head. The stats on it looks weird but cool at the same time.
There is an item in the database called The Twin Blades of Azzinoth.
That said, it is far too powerful to ever give to players. It is several levels above even Atiesh.
Hell, it’s several steps above the actual Warglaives added in Black Temple during TBC.
Edit: For reference, this is the item: https://classicdb.ch/?item=18582
I remember seeing the page on them on allakazam, they existed in classic but they where unobtainable, they had a simpler model that was just 2 silver glaives with red filigree, nothing like the glowing green ones today.
I think you can still see them today on some bosses.
There is also one that was frequently posted about years ago called Glaive of the Defender;

The model is the same as the databased Warglaives of Azzinoth that Sabetha posted.
There is also a Demon Hunter among the small scattered islands out in Azshara;

He is part of the very large Blasted Lands chain that leads to killing Rakh’likh, a Dreadlord on top of a mountain in Blasted Lands. The rewards are decent, and you also receive a unique 16-slot bag. The Demon Hunter is holding warglaives that were the model basis for those other databased warglaives.
It could be interesting to see them resurface, but my side of the fence holds the “no changes” opinion dear to my heart ;].
Just some fun stuff to peruse over while we all eagerly await Classic!
First time looking at defender glaive…wow. I wish vanilla had more weird and funky weapons like that. Imagine seeing someone with a weapon noones even heard of lol the magic of beauty that can come out of classic compared to retail
