In preparation for Phase 3, I am getting ready to begin investing in a twink.
Suggestions on level brackets / class? I was thinking 19 priest. I wouldn’t shy away from 29 or 39 because there’s plenty of time before phase 3.

I had a LvL 19 Priest twink. She provided hours of enjoyment. Also, a LvL 19 Lock was fun too. I gravitate toward casters.
I’ll likely have two Level 19 Rogues, two Level 19 Priests, one Level 19 Paladin, one Level 19 Warrior (A), and one Level 29 Shaman (on two accounts). Eventually two Level 49 Rogues, one Level 49 Priest (H) and one Level 49 Paladin.
I like to make my bank alts into twink accounts so they are multi-purpose.
Curious. Why would you have more than one of the same twink? In order to minmax a twink it requires many hours and much gold.
I have two accounts, so I just turn a bank alt into a twink on both accounts.
I don’t tend to buy the blue BOE weapons – that’s where the majority of the cost of a twink goes. The best BOE green weapons and armor (or blue BOP drops), with appropriate enchants, is perfectly competitive.
was it lvl 39 twinks killing 60s in vanilla?
I’ll prob do a 29 or 39 twink, you have most of your abilties then and some talent points to play with…
I had a 19 gnome rogue twink named phluffy back in vanilla. He wasn’t completely minmaxed, but he had his cruel barbs, tunic of westfall, goggles, and some other core pieces. Never got the arena trink. Lots of fun on that one.
I will likely make another rogue twink, but like I said I’m considering 19 priest because I know they absolutely dominate the 10-19 bracket, and they’re quite unkillable.
Hunter is best at 19. Way far ahead of any other class at that lvl.
49 warriors are fun. Get a Pendulum of Doom.
39 lock or druid.
40-49 warrior
20-29 will probably the be popular spot, tho
Ugh. The term twinks irks me. I wish people knew it’s meaning and why the term was even created >.>
I’m not saying ur wrong for wanting to stop a toon at 19/29/39 and just have a blast in pvp/BGs btw.
Had a 39 twink Hunter that would one shot casters regularly, had thousands of gold in it. I’ve been watching prices of certain items in AH and have been thinking of remaking my twink.
Considering I bought A TON of leather and mail twink gear to sell in P3, I suggest rolling once of those
Executioner’s Cleaver/Soulkeeper were better IIRC.
whats so special about 49 warrior?
Personally I always preferred the 29 bracket. Most classes get some solid unique skills. Stat scaling is a little bit better enchants wise. More options when it comes to gear/quest gear.
I ran a 29 hunter all decked out. Damage was crazy high since the STV hemet quest line gear was all useable. Oh that gun and tunic. I just got that and I’m 41 on this guy. Twas magnificent at 29.
Mortal Strike
By 40 they have a complete toolkit to fully dominate a battleground. It’s also a lot easier to gear for than 50-59.
Nah twink is just the perfect term for these folks.
Though classic is a much better place for them, since I’d have to assume it’s mostly veteran players who know what to expect in lowbie bgs
I will be rolling a 39 twink hunter and 29 warrior. The hunter is so much fun cant wait to mow down some horde.
19 Mage
Spec Frost for control but use Fire to wreck.
Favorite moments where Frost Novaing Hunters and blasing them with fireball while sitting in their dead zone.
My first twink in the 19 bracket will be a lesser represented one: holy pally. Make sure they’ve got lots of mana and +healing enchants and as much mail as you can wear in non-critical gear slots (with +int/+stam) and boom. I wont kill much, but the utility and usefulness as a support role in WSG is amazing: pocket heals, BoF, backup flag carrier, and I’ll be able to count the number of times I die on one hand.
