Edit:
What if, they split the queue like BG? Make single lane dungeons the dungeon queue, and have multilane dungeons be the epic dungeon queue.
This allows people who can not tolerate doing continuous lane negotiations over and over can play matchmaking dungeons every week. If there is a multilane dungeon in the queue, I just do not play that queue anymore that week or season if I have to do more than one lane negotiation a day.
If there was a single lane dungeon queue open this week, I would be slamming dungeons right now instead of typing.
Edit 2:
I first subbed to WoW in 3.2, and the dungeon queue system of that time and playstyle of that time is why I play WoW at all. Every time this playstyle is seriously disrupted for lengths of time, I unsub and play a game with something similar, or I get so agitated I type nonsense. Pls fix, it is easy.
Original irritated post after too many lane negotiations in one day:
Every single entry, we have the same issues with these dungeons for 20 years. There’s at least 1 person on the team who wants to do the side bosses or quest. There’s at least 1 person who so rabidly against that idea, that they will run to the end boss and sabotage the people doing the quest. I have almost never been in a classic dungeon without this strife arising. These instances are crap and do not help the game in any way. Dungeon bosses and dungeon quests should be part of the completion process.
Most classic dungeons don’t lend themselves very well to the “complete 5 dungeons” weekly model. Maybe the Scarlet Monastery instances…
Meanwhile BC and WotLK are perfect.

I added this to the first post. I need dis.
Single lane? Multi lane? Please educate me, what are those?

I think he means dungeons that only have one possible path, versus dungeons that have optional side bosses, aka secondary route, aka multi lane.
No one ever used these words ever, I don’t know why he’s talking as if this was common knowledge, it’s not, you’re not weird for being lost lol.

Because in BGs people could want to do either at any point. For TW people will want to do side quests only once per character, that queue would be atrociously slow to the point where everybody would leave this queue to do with single lane queue only… natural selection.
Just accept that the quest is not worth the argument and just follow the tank as you would in any dungeon.
Ah! That makes sense, then!
The Classic dungeons recently introduced during the anniversary event were new content to me, as they (way way way) pre-date my entry into WOW. They have been very confusing to me, especially since two are essentially identical to me (the dark ones in a city). I think I have finally figured the others out, but those two still mess with me.
We also have dungeons that have “objective” as in not bonus or side bosses that can be skipped, the Dire Maul instances are examples of this. I can understand skipping the bonus bosses, especially if they are out of the way, but ones like Immo’thar that are actual objectives? that one is right there, no real additional time to down nor really off the beaten path.
What if you are the tank and doing it one way or the other? When I tank, I do all objective bosses and as many side ones that don’t take me to the instance equivalent of narnia to get done, yet in 2 DM immothat instances, I have had ones go to the final boss as I was unlocking immothar.
Really, all bosses in the set objectives need to be killed for the instance to be considered complete imo.
It just got even stupider, the tank in my last group, on my mage, skipped even the first boss, that was WAS RIGHT THERE.
