Classic Timewalking: Is timewalking always going to be like this now?

So I noticed that now, timewalking (in classic dungeons anyway) now uses the levelless scaling system used for world bosses etc. Previously, you were scaled down in level and gear level.

This scaling down of player levels to match the timewalking content was great because all those cool, previous-expansion items that later expansions condemned to the banks could come out to play again: certain legendary weapons, pandaria cloaks, the heart of azeroth, and trinkets with effects that were pretty cool.

Now, all of those older, treasured items have no use whatsoever other than to take up space in the bank, making the whole gross feeling of borrowed power feel even grosser than ever.

“Yes, I’d love to use quest greens and blues, as well as generic stat stick purples instead of the cool items of expansions past!” --said literally no one, ever.

I feel like a big part of what made timewalking fun has now been lost. They’re just more dungeons. It’d be nice if some way to use these older, fun items once again could come back. Or that maybe classic timewalking is the only timewalking that’s going to be like this, but I don’t feel very optimistic.

Oh well, thanks for listening to my rant.

I believe all timewalking is now scaled up to your current level. It will no longer match you to old content anymore. At least from what I gathered in the posts leading up to this patch.
