Classic time walking

I would like to see classic time walking

They should revamp timewalking entirely… make it a difficulty toggle for ALL dungeons and raids, not just the existing timewalking dungeons / raids… and have this new difficulty scale from 1-40 players… want to walk into an old dungeon, and actually have a completable solo challenge without faceroll one-shotting everything thanks to a legacy effect? Want to enter a 10-player raid, but with 40 players instead, making it a truly epic experience?

The possibilities for at-launch content in an expansion where such an idea is actually visited would be almost endless… they would have more content at launch than any previous expansion or classic…

If you can barely get a TW pug together when it is near the end of a a raid teir how would that work out? Besides trying to rework all old raids for 40 people isn’t a easy thing. Sure the classic raids would suit it but that would be a total revamp TBC and onward. Fights were not designed around 40 people from that point onward.

Why not just play Classic?
But the cata changes are trash imo. Old dungeons and starting zones were much better

Won’t work. You can’t get 40 people easily and if you do you’ll have a tough time replacing them when many leave.

Every expansion from BC to BFA wasn’t originally designed for people to level in from level 10 (20?) onwards to level 50 (120), but they found a way, and everyone more or less loved that feature…

No, but you can get one person easily… they can scale normal and heroic raids from 10-30 players with flex scaling, so why not from 1-40?

I ran TW raids for two years. Every time they made a scaling change some boss in Black Temple became unkillable for five days. Imagine that but with all raids. I don’t think they have the people to manage it all.

I still remember when RoS was bugged with the gauntlet spawning infinite adds and you were forced to use the DH skip.

They don’t have the people to manage these changes only because they did mass layoffs, and made working conditions at Blizzard so horrible compared to other companies that most of those who didn’t, left of their own volition a.k.a. “I QUIT!”

If they didn’t make these ridiculous mismanagement mistakes, we would see Legion-like expansions or better again… instead, WoW is well on its way to dying, more-so than before…

Those raids weren’t designed to be flex. Also, the raids are too long as well. Too many bosses and too much time running. You also have classic WoW so there’s that. And furthermore, the difficulty those raids had was the old systems the game had which are long gone. Now it’s so easy no one would die.

That isn’t the reason why they don’t focus on TW. . .

It just isn’t as big of a priory to them.

You know what, you’re absolutely right, in fact it’s the reason why they don’t focus on much of what they should be focusing on… instead, they focus on E-Sports, and only E-Sports…

Night. Not engaging this.

If they shrink their staff any further, they won’t be able to maintain Classic(s) AND Retail…

Revamping Timewalking gives them an alternative to making drastic sacrifices, which can appease both crowds to some degree…

Good riddance!
 :joy: :-1:

Classic Time Walking probably wont happen with how many dungeons there exist or systems implemented afterwards which allow for better scaling. Sometimes a system is put in place years before its used and after some content which they may have not thought about yet. That or most dungeons are lowbie level and kind of trash if you wanted to end game play em’. Classic Timewalking meets ragefire chasm or something

So do I.

Scholomance, stratholmr and the scarlet monastery pls

We are already lvl 60, our current power is too strong for classic. Imagine we do no have mana issues, resource management issues or even need mats for buffs.

There wouldn’t be any time-walking

Yes but with the old versions of the dungeons plz.

Imagine, Mythic Blackfathom Deeps
or
Old School Mythic Temple
