- Fresh server
- Add SoM and SoD content in a way that fits Vanilla (squish power creep)
- Add level capped, low level dungeon currency that gates end game content (alts required, daily limits)
- Add other low level events
- Expand already existing areas as endgame content horizontally
- Add more farming options to accommodate newly added content
- Add some rune abilities with cautious talent tree updates
- Grant five extra talent points as quests at level 60
- Unban GDKP
- Raise subscription fee by $5/month and actually invest that money in GMs to play the game and ban bots and gold buyers and sellers
Easy mode;
Keep gdkp banned
add more leveling dungeons
create level 60 versions of every dungeon
pay GMs with the current 15$ a month they get
no, only if you make the sub 1000/month
No way haha. Just employ people to play the game. GMs actually involved in the community by being full-time players.
$5 million a month is enough $100k/year salaries to cover every realm, every raid, every dungeon, every interaction, every trade.
Just another clown trying to ruin the game with gdkps. Dont listen to him
SoD has been a bare minimum effort endeavor, of just recycling existing assets and making a handful of new quests in existing zones, and you people think this already stretched-thin team is gonna magically start cooking up brand new content?
lmao
Non-sequitur
Barely relevant. Doesn’t address necessity to invest in GMs.
Non-sequitur. OP goes out of its way to not suggest any new content.
Fresh servers only “solve” problems for like, two weeks.
Forcing low level alts in order to run end-game content is a horrible idea.
The subscription fee is an already outdated model, is already too high, and they make enough. They could afford to hire people already, they just don’t, because greed.
Ive seen the abominations that 1 extra talent point at 60 would create. 5 blows the game apart and not in a good way. Hard pass. Other ideas arent bad.
I will NEVER play another “fresh” server unless it has something new on it. I would go back to Era if that’s the case.
SOD and SOM are classic plus btw. Nothing is going to save it it’s already done lol. Numbers don’t lie and sod was the biggest failure yet so far. Even cata that’s been in the same patch for a year has 10x the pop of sod. And the war within is crushing both with over 1m active logs lol. Mostly terrible ideas in this post but the GDKP one is good! Hope you have a great day Baraddekchad
replace Erannikus with Vashj
replace Onyxia with Nefarian
replace Nefarian with Kael’Thas
replace C’Thun with Kil’Jaeden
replace Kel’Thuzard with Arthas
+++++++++++++++++++Classic!
Don’t look so smug! I know what you’re thinking, but Blackrock Spire was merely a set back.
What a freaking lie. Why are you lurking in the SOD forums if you hate it so much? or if its as terrible as you say? Both side are extremely active enough for me. I log’d into Cata the other day and I barely saw anyone in the cities and no one dueling outside.
Retail might have more there I can’t argue. But, it doesnt mean its better then SOD. =)
Nah.
Terrible ideas, especially the last bullet.
I don’t like a lot of that list. Don’t want anything like vanilla. That garbo old and has none of that QoL stuff
Because they know there is nothing to be said.
We have told blizzard and shown blizzard throufh videos, private servers, and player events what we want.
Hyjal.
High Elves.
Vanilla outland.
Grim batol/twilight highlands.
Ashbringer quest.
Eranikus quest.
General big quest lines that went nowhere because they just werent developed.
Uldum.
Emerald dream.
Some form of the dragon isles.
Worgen.
Karazhan [and/or crypts]
Northrend.
The content that wasnt put in the game but left in the files long enough be found and, if you were lucky, play, but was never finished.
Theres SO much they could do, and they gave us:
Ascension WoW rune abilities.
3 bracket raids with 1 that people that werent casters barely did more than a handful of times, and two (gnomeregan and sunken temple) that people outright avoided, and slightly updated raids with an ascension wow version of a raid difficulty slider, and a secret boss that was a pyroblast upscaled model that might as well had been on your middle school buddies pserver. The whole thing just felt like a branchoff of ascension wow to me.
About the only good and unique thing they did was adding the demonfall canyon dungeon. Where was that the ENTIRE LIFETIME of sod?
They did they bare minimum they could. Unless they pull something out of their pocket for p8, provided there will even be one, all sod has turned out to be is an official blizzard licensed private server.
At least, thats how it felt for me. Playing it through to p4.
no
should be $5 per month classic-only sub so you cant play retail
I’m out
I’m really out
A million? More like a couple thousand. Blizzard doesnt seem to want to promote Classic in any way. They dont want to admit that we did infact want it to happen.
