Classic+ Suggestion - Extended PvP Flag

On PvP servers, it would be in the best spirit of the game for extended PvP flags to keep WPvPers from being able to go PvP and hide in the safe zones of capital cities. When people participate in WPvP, they should be PvP flagged for 100 days /played time. This would ensure people don’t write checks they can’t cash when it comes to attacking people in WPvP. This would also combat ganking. This should apply to every zone, including your own faction zones. This would keep people from playing city defender and then hiding behind a disabled PvP flag. PvP should have a price, if you don’t want to be flagged, don’t attack. I love WPvP and this would make it more engaging. This would keep it more active as people who want to participate in WPvP have to always participate, not just when it’s convenient.

There should be no unflagging and no safe zones on pvp servers at all, imo.

There is no way to combat ganking other than forcing a fair fight (Arena, ELO system, etc.).

There are two paths:

  1. Gear based PVP (i.e. WoW, BDO, most MMOs)
    -Result: cringe RMT dystopia.
  2. Non-gear based PVP (i.e. EVE, Mortal, etc.)
    -Result: Zerg-fest. Can’t win by swiping so you never log in without 51% of the server allied and by your side. Also, possibly just multi-box 15 accounts.

If an unfair fight is an option, a fair fight will never exist in the game. Not sure why people put any stock in the PvP of game with thousands of hackers outnumbering the real players anyway.

So basically the second you touch a contested zone you just have permanent PvP flagging.

Just say you want permanent flagging. This 100 days played idea is nonsense.

Yeah I 100% agree. I’ve been saying that for years. I meant to make a sugg post for that too just forgot to. PvP servers should be pure PvP. If they don’t like it they can roll on a safespace snowflake PvE server

I abused arena ladders long enough to know that its stacked soon as the gate opens if you know what comps to play at what ratings and what the break down of what comps are at what ratings. Its an easy climb, the ladder is more like steps on your way to glad, and less about the skill level of the players; although skill does matter and its very important, but comp matters more than most want to admit.

No one fights fair any any format, and they should not fight fair; I have given up on trying to fight fair in any format whatsoever a long time ago and now just play like opportunistic cancer any chance I can because it tilts the enemy so badly that they make even more mistakes and rage.
