I was just exploring possible builds and i want to know if the extra weapon swign given by reckoning would procc the effect of Seal of command.
Ive heard SoC only procs off the first attack in a reckbomb, and that why SoR is used instead.
im interested in this also, reckoning has a weird way to store procs and if mid swing doesn’t unleash the next proc.
Also you can time two seals in 1 swing if your swing is about to go off, then you seem to randomly hit twice (with out a reckoning proc).
If reckoning isn’t reliable im prob going a holy/ret build.
Been trying to test if it, but it feels weird, I’ll get a swing timer and test more.
Reckoning is currently bugged. Dont use it.
Reckoning in it’s current state will reset your swing timer. As previously stated, if you wish to gain an “extra hit” instead of a “instant counter attack” you will need to stop your auto attack between swing times.
Seal of Command will only proc off the first hit.
Seal of righteousness procs off every hit but is affected by spell batching. Often you will see all the auto attacks register followed by all the righteousness hits after. If you kill the target with the auto attacks then the righteousness hits won’t even register.
Reckoning can be stacked up to 4 additional times(4 reck hits + regular attack). This can be also done with the sit method. The best mobs to stack reckoning on are fast hitting cat mobs. Spam sit and you’ll get the rhythm of it.
In it’s current state, reckoning will be best used by the holy reckoning build(support while it stacks, release and repeat) and reck-bombers(pre-stack and unleash, repeat).
it’s not working at all. i was running away from a pet, got crit over 5 times, turned around to attack it to test it out and i only landed one hit.
I wouldn’t say it’s not working at all, though there are some occasions that it doesn’t work as it should. Every now and then i will be crit but redoubt and reckoning will not proc as they should. A vast majority of the time it will work as intended in my play though.
On the subject of pets, i haven’t had enough interaction with players pets. While doing wastewater justice i was using their pets to proc reckoning so i could kill the shadow mages quicker( using the sit spam method).
Im not saying it’s prefect but it’s functionality is there for those who’d like to use it.
Reck-bombing is definitely on the table and it’s fun as hell.
getting crit while sitting doesnt proc it for me, as of right now typing this.
Correct. As I understood it at this stage in Vanilla, reckoning is a waste of talent points.
How so? Its working how I remember it was in the final patches of Vanilla
the proc seems to depend on where you currently are on swing timer, turning off auto attack will give you the procs.
Easy way to do it is have a macro to turn on and off auto attack.
You can either spam it while fighting and it will trigger on next auto attack or turn it back on when you got your stacks.
Rogues proc the stacks with in seconds, so have one of these guys as a friend and duel them.
I’ve had a blast, look up rextroy he will explain in great detail on how to do it.
i’ll have to try this but i absolutely lack the attention span or will to make a MANUAL macro for something as tedious as auto attacking.
If you do it right it basically is like you are turning your standard attack into a clickable attack… its akward but when you see 5 numbers fly off a guy cause of crits against you its super fun.
No, It is working as intended, and still stacks up to a max of 4 charges.
Allowing for an instant 5x attack, plus 5x from Seal of Righteousness.
I Reckbombed a lvl 21 warlock yesterday in Hillsbrad Foothills
I haven’t been able to find a Reck counter add-on, and I’m not sure how to configure WeakAuras to track it either, so you have to manually track the stacks.
This is intentional. Only crits received while standing will proc redoubt, and reckoning. You have to stand up before the attack lands to force the proc.
1 shot like 50+ people yesterday, had a blast.
Ret/reckoning is a ton of fun with low sp gear available.
Not sure even if I got t2 and pvp mix if I would swap since seal of command is so satisfying.
doesnt work like that at all. i actually got my 4 stacks and popped seal of righteousness, only 1 proc.
Barlgruf, sorry buddy you are incorrect. SoR is proccing off every hit in a Reckbomb still. Because of spell batching they will appear at the end after all the white hits.
Reck is working the same way it did in classic. You have to turn off your auto attack to build stacks. Sitting doesn’t proc it and shouldn’t, Rightousness and on hit trinkets/enchants can and do proc off every hit unless they have an enternal cooldown.
