In Vanilla it was about 20 silver for your first talent redistribution, it is not game changing but as a Low level I didn’t see my first gold til about level 16. I think this should be looked at, especially considering new players are joining to experience the old game and will have a hard time picking skills and talents.
i think that classic is a very mature game with a lot of guides out there for people to get some orientation if they are new to the game.
you should really take your time and think about it before spent a talent point and i think thats why it costs so much.
True, but I dove right in forgetting how much it sucked to level as Sub, and went to respec at 14 and was like oh man that sucks! I only had like 47 silver at the time. Didn’t get a gold til lvl 16 when I changed to Combat. Now my next respec is 5 gold!
I think it was under one gold the first time too. Not positive though.

I thought it was 25 silver and doubled each time
Bank slots should also not be 100g for the last slot I believe it capped out at 50

The 50g respec is more of an issue for hybrid classes that say; want to raid as healing but want to pvp or farm in a damage spec. I suppose it’s hard on tanking warriors too.
Welcome to Vanilla, your choices matter, retail is still an option.

Bank slots and respecting have always cost that much. It’s true that sometimes people just starting can make poor talent choices but honestly at low levels it doesn’t matter, you could use zero talent points and still do fine. Post 30 you’re going to feel it but at that point you can easily afford to respec.

It definitely capped at 100. I can remember complaining about it endlessly back in the day.
Why? Youve only spent 5 points. Not a big deal.

For some reason, I could swear I remember the first respec being free back in actual vanilla. I was surprised when I saw it started at 1 gold…
but I am old, so my memory could be flawed
