from what I heard, blizzard fix reckoning to what it was supposed to be; an auto counter and it doesn’t hold stacks anymore; making shammy even better compare to pally then in vanilla with the reckoning bug.
No, It still stacks. Up to a max of 4.
Allowing for an instant 5x attack, plus 5x from Seal of Righteousness.
I Reckbombed a lvl 21 warlock yesterday in Hillsbrad Foothills
I haven’t been able to find a Reck counter add-on either, and I’m not sure how to configure WeakAuras to track it either.
I’ve seen someone who had weak auras set up so I feel its possible. Just is beyond my brain power while trying to get to 60.
I’ll have a rogue duel me at 60 and get it to work then and hopefully share it back here.
I’m also working diligently on a solution to this. I’ve started working on my own addon for it. I’m halfway there. I tried weakauras, but I’m not quite sure it’s going to cut it. I promise when I finish the addon and have it in a working state I will be sharing it.

Only thing incorrect im noticing is. That for some reason Stacks are staying through death even though the counter is reseting

This is what I’m personally working with. Fully able to solo grind, tank dungeons, as well as heal raids and dungeons while still getting good things for reckoning.
There’s a few free talents you could move around in the upper holy tree or removing RF talents into armor if you don’t like tanking dungeons.

I have several issues with the way blizzard is handling this.
A. Lack of clarity. If you’re going to make this talent function vastly different from classic and I’m trying to be as respectful as I can but these blue posts cannot be accurate. This is not how reckoning functioned in classic now I’m not even mad about that.
B. If it’s going to function like combo points then we need indication of this. Solid indication, in game.
C. Is it a matter of Balance? I just don’t think so. Mages can nearly 1-3 shot people and even with 5 stacks of reck it doesn’t compare to a PoM pyro or Elemental Mastery both of which have easy to use on demand power.
Clarity Please, blizzard. I think being honest and forth coming about what you’re doing to reckoning is essential. If it is going to function like combo points you need to state that. And I think most of all need to allow us some form way to keep track of them since the functionality has changed so vastly from how it used to be.
What is different then how this functioned in vanilla? Please tell me how you remember reckoning working in vanilla, because how it functions in classic is very close to how I remember it working.
I always remember having to turn off auto attack, waiting for charges while healing in the back line and then turning auto attack back on once in range to dump my charges.
No no that’s not what I mean.
The combo point factor is what’s different. You could change targets and not lose them.
You still can, if your auto attack is off your target does not matter.
Ahh okay. Nice, Again though my main issue is just wanting clarity and reasoning behind us not getting to know how many reck stacks we have.
Also I have been noticing instances of Reckoning simply not generating in WSG this morning. I had one BG where it would not work under any circumstance. And please just assume I’m not messing up on my end and performing any actions that would drop them.
Actually in these instances I was just going hit for hit and I wasn’t even getting attack resets.
You never knew back in vanilla, there was “reckbomb” addon I used and I know most of the reckbombers did.
The Weak aura I posted above (few posts mind you) works similar to it.
Its still wonky, sometimes you activate your attack slightly out of range and it drops all charges before you can actually hit, sometimes ping can be an issue. Its a buggy style of play. Its why I have always prefered the wait for the full bomb, stun and drop a huge hit at once, less issues of lag/latency/spell batching happen.
I will say, its not FULLY functioning like Vanilla. I never remember charges lasting through death and they clearly do presently.
