Ok now I’m kinda hyped about this is this going to be a real thing are they going to announce it at blizzcon.? ![]()

Inquiring minds want to know
Imma personally pass it and wait to see if anything concrete the next day or atfer.
Less disappointed that way if you don’t have any expectations. ![]()
You really have to stand in awe.
Despite not being able to agree on what it would be, Classic players invented Classic+ from thin air and through sheer dedication willed rumors of its development into existence. And they did such a good job of this that, in the event Blizzard doesn’t announce it, everyone will be mad at THEM for it, not the people who made the rumors up!
…WTF Classic+ is.
Honestly.
What is it?

This was first talked about by classic developers? Made up from thin air? Lol!

People want them to add to vanilla WoW but instead of just new endgame zones like your typical expansion, they add all the empty things as leveling zones etc…like for example hyjal is there but you can’t get to it so they could make it a vanilla LVL 40 zone or something.
Personally I have zero faith they make classic+ but if by some miracle they do, be prepared for the classic+ token because they are NOT about to miss out on monetization of something potentially more popular than retail.
it’s exactly like new coke
Spot on. The Classic honks are nothing if not relentless and delusional.
Hard to imagine Blizz giving up on retail and developing new classic content. No way they develop two versions of wow concurrently.
Let’s not let thinking get in the way of dreams…
No. It’s not going to be a thing.
This is an oxymoron. You can’t have new Classic content. It stops being “Classic” and just becomes another client / offshoot of the original game. They’ve already digressed from the original vision by adding certain features not present back then, but creating brand new content for old expanions? That’s a pipedream.
I have no opinion on whether they should do this. What I think is that they should consider going back and examining content that was originally canceled and develop some of that.
I think there was a survey, can’t remember exactly when, but it was sometime before they announced Classic to just before they announced TBC classic.
Doesn’t classic have a forum that you all can spam these threads in for the people who actually want this fictional version of the game?
Totally agree with you.
It would be funny if they just enabled transfers of classic characters to retail and branded the purchase as “classic+”
I find it very amusing the crowd of people who left retail because they hated the way Blizzard changed the game over time, are now asking and trusting Blizzard to do it again.
Well… they added new stuff to Diablo2? Even made it look prettier… I think you underestimate pipe dreams… ![]()
It did work with OSRS so anything is possible. OSRS development does require polls to pass anything, and I wouldn’t trust WoW playerbase with an once of that kind of power and neither do I trust Blizzard to not mess it up.
Classic+ would be Cata… gotta sell them level 80 boost and tokens.
It’s this weird idea that people seem to have gotten into their heads that Blizzard is somehow capable, or even willing, to develop a game that’s like Vanilla, except different with a whole bunch of changes and features that were introduced in later expansions as well as shelved content that never saw the light of day in time for the game’s original release back in 2004.
At that point what they’re really asking for is Blizzard to basically redevelop World of Warcraft into something that it was never supposed to be.
